1. Sweet child o mine , round and round , by ratt and autumn leaves or some recurring circle of 4ths type walk. I am bassless at the moment as sold 2 and have yet to finish my p bass project and am doing lots of stuff on 6 string so am very rusty
2. Brilliant I used mine for transporting 2 acoustics in hardcases and a small amp last week, it did very well
3. I did not know there was a 50 euro limit per customer, just thought that was the maximum, for any submission of reviews at a time. Would be interested to clarify this , as the price, service and vouchers are what keep me going back
4. The fan on my older 32 bit macbook pro going mental like a washing machine on spin cycle,
5. Hi just thought i would let you know there are some good books in the works at the moment. I got Bass player presents, The funky bass book. it has lots of interview type wisdom from famous players and looks to be a good read for £4.00 there are also 2 Tony Bacon books, one on Rikenbacker in general and one on fender squier electrics, both of which I already have. there is also a book on The Who for anyone who is a fan. The tony Bacon books are very good value as they are always excellent to read. Hopefully they will be available in other areas for people who are interested to. best wishes...Paul
6. freakin love these, awesome, I totally live for 80s hair/sleaze metal, please keep playing this it is awesome. Lots of new bands coming out with this style all the time too, especially from scandinavia. reckless love, crazy lixx, hardcore superstar and many more. also some great aor stuff like White widdow. keep rockin \\m// \\m//
7. I have finally ordered the rock n roller two wheel one from thomann
8. I was put off the amazoon one by the reviews that mentioned the bearings falling out etc, I also noticed no max weight on the fishing trolley, I notice the thomann one seems to be from a specialist company that make stuff for shifting musical equipment so will probably go with that as people seem to mention using it to shift PA and amps etc, plus I will get a money off voucher for reviewing it too, they also have a 4 wheel truck type for another 20 quid, decisions decisions lol
9. thanks for that icastle, I can see what you mean with the kerbs etc, thanks
10. Hi, I have been thinking of getting a trolley to put bass or guitar amp on for jam nights, as I don't have a car , probably mainly the guitar most times, with a marshall avt 20 or something like a fender champion 100 or a mustang 100, the bass amp is a bg250, but I may go the way of playing through the PA with that so mainly the guitar amps and possibly bag full of leads/pedals etc. I have seen interesting looking trolleys this Thomann rock n roller http://www.thomann.de/gb/rocknroller_mini_handtruck.htm This carp fishing trolley one ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/COMPACT-SEAT-BOX-FISHING-TROLLEY-BARROW-CARP-PIKE-FOLDING-HEAVY-DUTY-/231384145256?pt=UK_BOI_Packing_Postal_Supplies_Labels_LE&hash=item35df91dd68 I am kinda favouring the thoman one at the moment. these look too much fun http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-Heavy-Duty-Garden-Trolley-Cart-Tipper-Tipping-Trailer-Dump-Wheelbarrow-Truck-/120916364401?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item1c272d4c71 I would be tempted to sit in it, would be useful for all sorts though thoman one looks good on price and ruggedness for music stuff and has good reviews and the wheels seem to be solid rubber type stuff so wont go flat
11. Its still hard to tell, it does have access for the pre amp etc and the battery cut out at the back , knocking does not reveal a drum like sound , people seem to enjoy playing it
12. Thoman says it is a laminated spruce top with a solid spruce body , the box says it is a solid top, and doesn, t mention the body, I, lost the flippin hang tag a lot of as, s say solid body, it is so light though
13.
I met a young band recently. I was trying to persuade them to get out and gig, but all they want to do is work on their set!
LIKE
14. Sorry guy, s I have played out with it twice now , I really like it , it is light and comfy and easy to play, my fellow guitar players seem to like it as well, from what I have heard it sounds nice, someone else is responsible for the P.a at local jams so you sort of get what you get, playing it down the pub thursday with a friend on the p.a. who usualy gets a nice sound. It sounds nice through my marshall valvestate 20 too, I let a pro player borrow it for a set and he enjoyed it. I really love it, super xmas present. It feels well made and looks great, thats about all I can say at present, the pre amp seems quite powerful and can be left flat at middle with a little bass cut, and some treble if you dont like a piezo toppy sound, for about 190 something it is a decent bit of kit
15. I have it, useful for set up info etc , I liked it enough to buy the strat one too
16. I am not sure if brecker brothers count, not sure what you call em but they are brilliant, skunk funk is a great album
17. Thanks guys , I did end up buying one and it is currently waiting to be unwrapped on christmas day , cant wait, happy christmas
18. do you still have it? PM'd
19. anyone know much about these ^ have seen them advertised but hardly any reviews, I like the look of it, have heard some negative stuff on stratacoustic and telecoustic standards, ibanez talman seems my fave at the moment for a small body in this style but I do like the look of this ew3000 http://www.thomann.de/gb/stagg_james_neligan_ew3000_cbk.htm
20. That john deacon came up with good lines for those songs
