1. Hi Guys, I might be interested as I not in a gigging band at the mo. I live near Sandhurst and would suite this band style. Get in touch with a PM. Im on holiday this week and next and will pick up emails every few days. Thanks. Marc
  2.
I bought a case from Marc recently - my second deal him and he's always great to deal with Turned out to be a bit more expensive than planned as the £35 case materialised into a £300 pair of hi-fi speakers at the same time, lol. Speaking of which - Marc is very much the man to speak to with regards to hi-fi stuff
Thanks Barrie, Sorry for the delay in getting you the speaker links, I'm on holiday and haven't been at the shop. Will sort it out in a few weeks. Thanks mate. Marc
  3.
Yeah its weird that they're not the same. It says that the jack ouput is "balanced" tho. So won't this do the trick? Or would you need to run it to a DI box first for better results? TBH I hope its rubbish, to stop the oncoming GAS. I'm really starting to want one of these things!
I've just picked one up from Guitar Works in Reading and can say the Spyder sounds very good. I replaced the two ECC83 valves with old Mullards. This has given it a great valve preamp sound with all the power of the 500 watt power amp. Also I love the passive EQ section, its very subtle and you can dial in sounds that would be very hard to create with an active circuit as each EQ band effects the next one along. Now the bad bits.... NO XLR DI out, this is crazy as there is plenty of room on the back panel for one. Instead we have a STEREO jack plug that is the DI out. I cant think of any sound man I have used that will have a Stereo Jack to XLR adapter with them....like I said, CRAZY. Next little niggle is the effects send and return on the front panel. I can understand if the amp was a free standing unit but it is designed to be in a rack with other rack equipment that will have there jacks at the back.....CRAP. Apart from these two niggles it is a fab sounding amp.......so much so I've ordered the Little Bastard as well.
  4. Very sad....... I, like many of us Basschatters got into playing the bass because of Micks creative playing and unique sound. My thoughts are with him.
  5. TWO sets of Fender 8250 5m strings for sale in sealed packaging. £20 including postage, saving around £18.00 on street prices. Or £12 each. Payment by Paypal. Thanks.
  6. I had one a few years back and got £50 for it... The sound was very big, uncontrolled and very 'old school'. Perfect for 70's rock. There also was a 2x12 'artiste' series guitar cab the looked very similar I think ?
  7. Hi, Would you like to trade... http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=89555

  9.
Fantastic piece of kit! Wouldn't be without mine! Built like a tank and has all the whistles and bells. I Use one channel for bass and one for synth bass. BB
Thanks BB, Its a great piece of kit but really does not suite my the blue grass band, so it has to go to make room for some GAS.
  10. little nudge for trade offers........................anything Bass related will be considered.

  16.
I love these amps. They sound the mutts nuts. I've got an Ampeg 50 watt BA112 1x12 combo. Im cash strapped at the moment but if its still about when I do have some pennies how much of a cash adjustment would you want? The Ampeg is mint as its never left the front room.
Hi £250 and your Ampeg would do it. PM me if you are interested. Marc
  17. This my EBS Drome compact bass combo. It has 150 watts of power that I have found loud enough for small and medium size gigs with a rock drummer. It has a 12 inch quality drive unit and a high frequency horn. Usable COMPRESSOR / LIMITER, Di out, MONITOR IN for a CD player and many more features for both gigging live and rehearsing. It is the older MK 1 version that is made in SWEDEN rather that the newer NEO version. It has a great Valve simulator that really thickens the sound for a more mellow tone or it can be turned off to produce a really wonderful slap or cutting rock sound. It really is a very versatile combo with good features, light weight and is very loud. The manual can be found here................... http://www.bass.se/2009/manuals/NeoDrome.pdf Please note....... There is a hole at the back of the cab where the last owner had a speaker out put jack, I removed it as I did not need this feature. Price is £385. I can deliver in person within 50 miles of Reading free or postage will be £19.99 for a signed for insured courier service. I'm looking for a small low powered 'Bedroom' combo. Would consider a trade with cash. Or an ASHDOWN Evo / ABM head.........What have you got?????????
  18.
Hi, have now added pics of both cabs. Cabs have the abm blue drivers and the square grab handles Cheers
I was really after the new black versions. If you can move on the price I might take it. PM me. Thanks
  19. Interested in the 15" cab. Is it the one with a BLACK speaker cone and SQUARE grab handles on the side. A pic would be good. Thanks...
  20.
i have this in my Jazz...boosts signal without coloring the sound...fits into the Control cavity also... http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_sp...s_Redeemer.html
I also have a Redeemer in both of my Jazz 5's.......................it really does work.
