1.
Hello, did you also replace the trussrod? It's a common problem with these SD curlee's. I see a trussrodhole so I think its replaced? (I think its under license: orginal SD Curlee (butchersblock) had badass bridge, dimartso pickups, schaller tuners)
No its the original truss rod and it works fine. All the SD Curlee basses have this hole so you can get to the adjusting nut! Will.

 6. Photos of my actual Combo to save any confusion, the link I posted shows this combo, but lists it as an RC210 320 watt when its actually a NC210 250 watt. WILL.

 9.
Wish I had a spare £150 and lived in Leeds! You really, really don't see many of these. Do you know if it's a US original or a licensed Hondo version? I don't know if I remember ever seeing the bird position markers before - do you know if they are original? Jon.
Hi Jon I think its probably a licenced version because the pots are Jap and the old Machine heads were also japanese. Its defo 1979 cos its marked on the neck and the body. The Birds are not original, but look very effective. Very nice solid brass bridge and nut as well as the backplates. Will.
 10. Nice Blueburst Yamaha Acoustic electric 34" scale In good condition apart from a little bit of belt rash. These basses have a Piezo in the bridge and also a humbucker, one knob controls volume and the other controls blend of the 2 pickups. There is also a 3 band equaliser which has a very useful range of usable settings. No case for this so collect only from Leeds. Will.
 11. Nice restored S.D. Curlee bass made in 1979 32" scale All original apart from new Machine heads fitted and a switch that didnt do anything removed from controls and blank fitted, also an extra jack socket added ( both sockets work fine.) Unusual neck thro design with brass backplate, The bird Motifs on the fingerboard are not inlays but stuck on and lacquered. Plays well for an oldy ( wish I could say the same about me. ) I dont have a case for this so its collect only from Leeds Will.

 16.
Did you even get Musicmaster basses in 1964? In any case, they would have a different headstock logo and different tuners. Although the finish looks in good nick, it's had a replacement pickup and a thumbrest fitted in a rather unusual place which will have made holes where they can't be covered. Price is maybe a little optimistic.
No, according to the Fender Bass Book, the Musicmaster Bass wasnt released until 1971! -- although the Musicmaster guitars were released in 1957. Will
 17.
"Optional fret protection acrylic board. Not used, still has protective film on" What's that then?
Tis a scratchplate that Yamaha supplied with the bass, but not many players bothered to fit them! Will.
