Hi 2x18. Seems like I'm going to have to come and have a look at this one, since no one else has had the good sense to take it off you yet! I'm still using the Jap P I bought off you a while back as my principal gigging instrument - love it! But I've been looking for a "spare" for a while... Give me a call when convenient? Thanks. Al ps will pm my number in case you dont have it. Cheers.
Thanks Al ------ good to hear from you again!

QUOTE)"There is no "Premium" finish or option for the Tribute line. The Japanese marketers (retailers) may call them "Premium", but that's how many marketers operate (here too). If you do a bit more research you will find that there was a standard model with a Basswood Body ( Usually Black ) and the ones with the better bodies were marketed as Premium models by the GL Dealers

Or how about the Medium scale version of the Aerodyne Jazz! There is a CIJ medium scale Squier P-Bass for trade on the forum ( I used to own the twin of this one--Really nice Bass ) The P-Basses are rare so I reckon the Jazzes will be even rarer!
I was always led to believe that all Tributes came in one neck size, i.e. 12" radius and 1.75" at the nut. You wont get more chunky than that. Perhaps the neck was swopped out at some stage ? Nice Trib.
I am pretty sure its all original --The neck can be 12" radius ( that refers to the fingerboard radius only ) but not as chunky depth wise as other Tribute necks, which I am sure is the case with this one! and it is the standard 1.75" at the nut! --- Its a terrific neck on a fantastic Bass! Will.

Up for sale is one I told myself I would never part with!-- But I am only playing short scale now! Its a Stunning Made in Korea Dec. 2005 Premium Model L2000 with Stunning Swamp Ash Body with Amber tint. The neck is not as chunky as the other L2000s I tried and is a real dream to play! Schaller Straploks and has had a recent set of D'Addario Chrome flats fitted and it comes with a hard case. Any trial welcomed! --You wont be dissapointed! My very nice, just like new Ryder Bass that I was going to use for a project, But its too good to split! Still has protective film on scrachplate and the Maple on the neck has a lovely graining! Nicely set up and it looks and plays way above its price tag!
Hi Will - thanks for the offer! I might take you up on that. What was it about the TI's that you didn't like?
Its not that I didnt like them, I just prefer the D'Adds on my Ric ( and also on my GL 2000 and Jaguar ) Love the Ti's on my Landing L1 and Fender Mustang and P-Basses! Will.

I use D'Addario chrome flats on my Ricky 4003 ---- standard long scale! I had Ti flats on but prefer the D'Ads. I have Ti flats on one of my Fenders that can try! You are welcome to call round and try them out for yourself and bring your Ric to compare them with! - I am in Leeds too! Will.
Is it easy enough (and not 'too' expensive) to get another one of those Suhr Jazz pups? I realise you mentioned driving down the M1 but do you ever venture North up the M1?
Hi John I got the John Suhr secondhand from the forum quite a while ago -- you dont see many around! -- Its good but I prefer the DiMarzio Model J. I was up your way a few weeks ago ( Met up with Benedict -- "Benebass" ) while on a shopping trip at the Metro centre, but dont think I will be back up again for a while! Will.
Don't suppose you'd be interested in a trade? http://basschat.co.u...your-precision/
Hi Ben --Thanks for the offer but I am only playing Short scale 4 string at present! Thats the only reason i'm selling most of my 34" Basses, Though I must say this P/J has one of the best Jazz necks I have ever played - Definitely on a par with my Geddy Lee and the Bacchus Jazz I sold recently!
