  1. Full set of Pirastro Evah Weichs used on one bass only as follows: - E around 3 months old - A around 5-6 months - D and G couple of months tops. Best price for a new set is £189 from Thomann. I no longer have the paper sleeves, but I’ll post them protected in a nice padded envelope or box. I don’t have the little felt rings either. U.K. postage is included of course.
  2. Wil is a Fantastic person to deal with. Great communication, honesty, all perfect!
  3. Sure nobody wants rid of a set of Spiros or Perpetuals or a nice pickup they don’t use and they fancy trying this as a trade?
  4. Unlikely to need trades but as long as it’s DB related, feel free to try
  5. Thanks mate and it is indeed helpful, I’m not at all familiar with electric bass stuff
  6. Price was based on best evidence around the net, but if you have other ideas, do PM me and we can discuss happily.
  7. Ah well, so I’m selling mine too dear then 😉
  8. Reduced to £410 posted. Hi all, this is a great little amp as you probably all know. It was made in Italy in 2013. As a double bassist, I have gigged it, but only in the past 6 months, because previous to that I only had gigs where I could go through the house without an amp. I have only ever gone to 1/3 of the volume and all the eqs have always been flat, but I have never heard any crackles from any of the pots. It does not have a cover. I can add a kettle lead if you want it. It weighs about 14kg, so obviously collection is preferred, but I would post it in a non-original box with a courier. the price reflects the fact I may need to post it. If you collect it, I’ll knock a wee bit off it. no trades please because I don’t play electric. thank you very much
  9. Still available. Feel free to get in touch if you have any questions

  11. Reduced to £70 posted (U.K.) Never been on my bass but spent 1-2 weeks on the previous owner bass, so it’s basically as new. Top quality gut wrapped in nylon like the famous golden spirals of Charlie Haden and Scott LaFaro fame.
  12. These are wonderful strings but my new instrument unfortunately does not suit them as much. They are gut wrapped by red nylon, pretty much the same idea as the legendary Kaplan golden spirals made stuff of legend by Charlie Haden, Scott Lafaro and many more. Personally I’ve no idea if they sound exactly the same because I’ve never tried Golden Spirals, but they are certainly very similar in construction (apart from the nylon being red). This D and G combo costs £157 new, plus postage from the US taking them to £217 (if I calculated it correctly). These ones have had roughly 3 months of use, so apart from the slightly fluffed end silk when taking it out of the D tuning peg, they are in excellent state of health. Here’s the link to the site https://shop.gamutmusic.com/strings/bass-strings/red-diamond-strings/
  13. This is a magnificent opportunity for the gut lover: a new set of Chordas costs £553 in the U.K., and the Carlos Henriquez model are special order. these are 2 weeks old, hence better than new, because I stretched them for you. Here’s their story: I bought them from Germany, which meant I had to pay an additional £100 import taxes since we are now ex-Europe… I installed them on my bass and patiently gave them 2 weeks to settle before concluding that they are not what my bass prefers, or maybe just not what my ears prefer…either way, I’ll pass them on (in exchange for money). As to be expected with guts, the tip of D is slightly squashed by the pegbox, but that’s totally normal and has no repercussions on the life of the string.
  14. I tried to sell this when it was less than a week old, then decided to keep it; now it’s less than a month old and I’ve decided I really don’t need it, so this time it’s going! here’s my original post 3 weeks ago
  15. Cream crackers behind second photograph are not included…or indeed they can be if the price is right.
  16. Here is from that New York New York, the David Gage Realist Lifeline Pickup. I had this on my bass for a few weeks but never gigged it. Surplus to my requirements. Hence the sale. I paid £195 so I think £150 is fair. U.K. postage included of course.
  17. I have 2 E strings and 2 A strings, all of them 3 to 4 months use at the very very maximum and no gigs (I was experimenting on both basses).
  18. Withdrawn - I’ll keep it The holy grail of the G!! many, many, oh so many paragraphs of praise have been written about it. Everyone who plays awesomely plays one, from Patitucci to Grenadier… I can see why, it’s fantastic…but I’m fine with Spiros just now. Less than a week on my bass (Saturday to Wednesday- today). UK postage included.
