Right-o Im off to B&Q then. My wood glue has gone off

So I have this P style body that's full of screw holes where they shouldn't be. I'm refinishing it cause I don't have much to do during the holidays. So Ive been drilling the holes out and sticking in small pieces of dowel to fill it. Dont worry its going to be refinished in a solid colour! My question is...Is epoxy resin a bad idea for this or should I go with regular wood adhesive? Cheers TF

http://www.gak.co.uk/en/skull-strings-bass-guitar-strings-4-string-set-45-110/6408 these are okay. got that 45-110 guage you probably want. I was hesitant at first since I hadn't heard of them but they're pretty good for dropped tunings

Not really the kind of thing I would sit down and listen too but its pretty good overall. the first 2 minute or so reminded me of the music from the discworld games and Simon the sorcerer. I don't know if that's the type of thing you where going for but I did come over all nostalgic for a moment which is a good thing ...right? Well put together and fairly well structured overall, if not a little bland. Would be excellent in a point and click adventure! Here's Saviours' latest effort... http://savioursmusic.bandcamp.com/

Id second getting a PR company, Saviours are doing the same at the minute. Cant stress how important it is to research the company though. Get the wrong company and you might as well be doing it yourself! TF
It's a little-known fact that the SI unit of excess and/or deficiency is the firkin. It is normally quoted as an even number, e.g. '2 firkin long".
that realy made me laugh. I have a 2 ft square piece of that foam stuff left over from making monitor isolation pads. PM me yer address an ill get a bit in the post if you like.

Need to fix a tuner on my Yamaha TRB6II
thefyst replied to Crosshash's topic in Repairs and Technical
I would get another one but im sure if your careful a small amount of superglue would hold the casing on if you can find it. -
ive done similar repairs to a p bass im in the process of refinishing. Used a kit that came with dowels a drill bit and some glue from B+Q chucked the glue and used 2 part epoxy instead tho

Stupid daisy chain/power question
thefyst replied to RAY AGAINST THE MACHINE's topic in Repairs and Technical
I have a korg tuner pedal with a 9v out...its okay if you wanna use 2 other pedals but any more and the current (i think) isnt high enough and the other pedals cut out. I got a 9v psu with a daisy chain type lead that seems to have cured it. -
Thanks for the advice guys and yeah I kinda do want to run all the cabs...mainly just because I have them and I can... until I find a good deal on something decent anyway. I'm not too worried about devaluing them...ive messed about with em recovering and whatnot so many times Well I think I'm gonna go with Dads suggestion allthough im not 100% on the maths... I worked it out to be something like 10ohms that way. just to check 2 16 ohm cabs daisy chained together gives 32 ohms then those in parallel with a 16 ohm cab would give 1/((1/32)+(1/16)) = 10.6 ohm new to this calculation but i think thats correct TF

Didn't want to get bogged down with several issues in one thread, hope no-one minds. As im sure I mentioned recently I have 2 2x10s and a 1x15. The 10" speakers are all 8ohms the 15" speaker is 16ohms I am trying to run it all with a hartke ha2500 at either 4ohms or 8 as per the manual. Can anyone think of a crafty way of doing this? Im totally happy rewiring things once I know what im doing. I have heard tell of a way of wiring and extension port so the cabs are in parallel but dunno how it would work. Hope you guys can shed some light on this one TF
not ideal storage from the sound of it..... and I think the problem is some sort of corrosion. New chassis and a lesson learned....??
yep looking that way I guess...will let you know when I get the chance to take it apart and see what's going on
