6. Hey Hey. So my band saviours are playing our first ever gig and its my first gig in over 12 months. Were opening for Pritchard and Dainton out of Dirty Sanchez (off the telly). and the second suppourt are a very well known local band playing a farewell type show. The university has been giving out free tickets to freshers and its going to be absolutely packed. Super nervous...its a week on friday so hopefully should have the nerves all under controll by then. Wish us luck!!
7. Hey All, My first time selling on here so bear with me... Bass Big muff Pi, Distortion/sustainer. You guys know what this is for. Brand new in box, opened to check the contents but never used it (bought 2 by mistake) £50 open to offers and or trade can deliver/meet halfway within reason. May post if its not too expensive. pm for more details
8. if your standing for extended periods at rehearsals ect bend your knees a little just so theyre not locked out... takes some of the pressure off your back. may feel weird at first but it works for me
9. I have a korg tuner pedal with a 9v out...its okay if you wanna use 2 other pedals but any more and the current (i think) isnt high enough and the other pedals cut out. I got a 9v psu with a daisy chain type lead that seems to have cured it.
10. Thanks for the advice guys and yeah I kinda do want to run all the cabs...mainly just because I have them and I can... until I find a good deal on something decent anyway. I'm not too worried about devaluing them...ive messed about with em recovering and whatnot so many times Well I think I'm gonna go with Dads suggestion allthough im not 100% on the maths... I worked it out to be something like 10ohms that way. just to check 2 16 ohm cabs daisy chained together gives 32 ohms then those in parallel with a 16 ohm cab would give 1/((1/32)+(1/16)) = 10.6 ohm new to this calculation but i think thats correct TF
11. Didn't want to get bogged down with several issues in one thread, hope no-one minds. As im sure I mentioned recently I have 2 2x10s and a 1x15. The 10" speakers are all 8ohms the 15" speaker is 16ohms I am trying to run it all with a hartke ha2500 at either 4ohms or 8 as per the manual. Can anyone think of a crafty way of doing this? Im totally happy rewiring things once I know what im doing. I have heard tell of a way of wiring and extension port so the cabs are in parallel but dunno how it would work. Hope you guys can shed some light on this one TF
12.
Aw man... Go for cooler wheels than that What if you need to cope with gravel? Or stairs or... hot lava? You want some of these! http://www.rosshandl...rted-wheels.asp or maybe some tracks?
Theres wheels like that on the bins outside....wheres the saw
13. Sold this yet? Am in the central lancs area so can probs collect
14. Figured it out...and feel like an idiot ...the back was loose a cheep fix at least
15.
not ideal storage from the sound of it..... and I think the problem is some sort of corrosion. New chassis and a lesson learned....??
yep looking that way I guess...will let you know when I get the chance to take it apart and see what's going on
16. Good idea, The place didn't seem all that damp but you never know. Will check on monday and report any findings. The amp was stored in an outbuilding at a friends garage/workshop with a bunch of other music equipment that hasn't had any other problems. they where boxed in cardboard then a sheet and some carpet over the top to keep them clean as possible. Would a damaged cone be fixable or a replacement job? cheers
17. Hey guys, Im new so if this is in the wrong place (or more likely been answered time and time again) please point me in the right direction. I have a set of three custom built cabs, 2 2x10 and a 1x15 with eminance speakers in each. They've been in storage for about 8 months and prior to that where working fine. Yesterday I set them up at a new rehearsal studio and one of the 2x10's sounds like an old man farting in a tin can. Im assuming there is a blown speaker as there is nothing noticably loose. My question is how do I check for this? I mean I get could check for impedance problems with the multimeter but I don't know the model number of the speakers and therefore don't know the tolerances. Any ideas / Suggestions would be appreciated. Cheers TF
