4. I am toying with the idea of selling my 2 Cort gb's a 74 and 75 ie 4 and 5 string both identical and in mint condition. From what I have read these seem to be out of the same factory's as the Lakeland DJ's and the G&L's. I have owned many basses and these are fantastic instruments and out play the fender deluxe 5 usa I had previous to these. I wanted a Jazz style body with a humbucker and the back and a jazz bar up front and block inlays and an edge binding, as you can imagine anything with that spec seems to cost proper money, then I found the GB75 and I was sold. The only reason I'm selling is that I ordered a custom made bass some 2 years ago and is now ready. If I could afford to keep them I would . They have a push/pull active/passive volume pot a blend pan pot and a stacked 2 band bass and treble, I think the active circuit is an alnico and the pickups are mightymite also the machine heads and the bridge on these are made by hipshot the same as the daryl jone lakeland. The humbucker has a 3 way toggle switch which splits the humbucker ti a bad single coil a front single coil or centered gives the the whole lot together, the other toggle is a two way and is like a mid boost for both pickups. Both are in mint condition. I want £500 for the pair or £300 each, call mark on 07956 964156 of [email protected] [attachment=48787:02052010509. 5. I am currently using a couple of Cort gb's one a 75 and the other a 74 ie 4 and 5 string, the eq circuit is a 2 band but I want to change them to a3 band and have used the aguilar obp3 before. I have 3 pots the first being a volume the 2nd a centered blend for both pups abd a stacked bass and treble. What I want is to loose the blend as I always use both pickups together and make that one a mid control. any ideas or experience what be good to hear, ie I take it I can run both pups to one volume pot??. Any tips well appreciated
 6.
Not on the bay. I assumed that for one of my first auctions. Sold something buyer didn't want to pay insured price. Posted it he claimed never got . ebay took funding from my account saying it was my responsibility to get it to the seller. Few months later I checked the guys feedback, seemed like he made a habit of not paying for insured then claimed it never turned up
Firstly thankyou to all your replies , most helpful, I know the guy In my local post office, I left it with him in the knowledge that I had £20 allocated for postage but he didn't put any insurance on it. Although no insurance with offered on the listing anyway and the buyer never requested it, it was sent standard parcels due to the size and wait. Ebay has now refunded him today but no monies have been taked from my account, tell me can paypal automatically take money from my bank, my paypal balance is zero but there is a direct debit in place from my bank account to cover any transaction I may make. Will post serial number of bass once I find it.
 7.
Last weekend I saw this Warwick Thumb 5 NT on Ebay for what I thought was a pretty decent price. I made an offer on monday and the seller accepted it. It was posted out on Thursday and, after spending the Easter weekend in the TNT depot in Rotherham, arrived yesterday. It's a pretty cool bass, red Sims LEDs, Headstock laser and an inlay that happens to be my initials (the other way around though! ) After being assured that the only issues with the bass are cosmetic (The paint is coming off all over the place), the frets were in excellent condition and the neck was straight I find the following: The nut is in the wrong place (Yes, those are post-it notes I put in the gap!) The frets are very low and worn. The neck is in desperate need of a truss rod adjustment. So in short, ITEM NOT AS DESCRIBED!!! I took the bass to Jon Shuker out in the peak district today and he said it would probably need a refret and a serious setup. If there are truss rod problems it'll get very very costly. I also sent of a lot of emails to various luthiers to get their opinion. General consensus is that it needs refretting and a setup at the least to fix the frets and nut. I sent he seller a very polite email detailing all of these issues and suggested that he could either give me a partial refund for me to get the bass repaired or he could give me all the money back and I'll send the bass back to him. I really love the sound of the bass and I've been after a thumb ever since I started playing bass. Part of me is telling me to just get it all repaired and maybe even get it back to a natural oil finish (and get rid of those strap buttons) but another, more sensible, part of me is telling me to walk away when I still can because there might be other issues that I've not identified yet. Please advice, Basschat!
If you paid via paypal then put a dispute in with ebay, you got 45 days to do this from time of sale, ebay don't care about sellers in the slightest only buyers ,wait the time it takes to go through and they will give be you your money guanteed, don't leave any neg feedback this will only fuel a fire, in other words do it after its settled.
 8. Hi to all, I recently sold a RBXJM2 yammy bass via the bay, I sent it via royal mail to the glasgow area and it hasn't been seen since. They are less than helpful and every little thing seems to take forever with this lot. Anyway it's gonna cost me big, with a refund to the buyer plus his postage and then the nightmare of resolving this with the post office. I'm gonna stick a couple of pics on here, so please look out for it, ie you may see it for sale somewhere else, the only distinguishing marks on this is the pitting on the the chrome knobs. Ebay have no interest in helping the seller what so ever, so all beware!!!!!!!!!! Any info [email protected] or 07956 964 156 thanks guys mark

 13.
I have the tone wired to the p pickup but will put it back to original when it sells but it is a lot better this way
A quick recap, several people have pm'd me saying that £500 is way to cheap ,it owes me £600 not 3 weeks ago so this is what I want for it, trades for ksd jazz or stingray, subs or sterling will be seriously considered. Many thanks to andy67 for his info earlier.
 14.
your having a laugh!? These are £1599 new! The mark two is desirable and should be in the region of £750 - £900 considering that the condition of yours is pristine!! good luck andy
you know that and I know that!!!, mind you it has a few digs here and there, although I'm now starting to get the right sounds from it so may keep it, and yes i's cheap but it ain't sold yet, love the feel of it just got to get it sounding right.

 17.
This bass is a beauty but having bought a Schecter which does what I want so much better it's just sitting there doing nothing. It's got new strings on it, comes with a faux suede strap and straplocks and a (slightly battered) musicman hardcase. If there are no acceptable trade offers I might consider a cash only deal but due to the rare nature of the bass (being as it is with a matching headstock) I'd be looking for £850. It's in great condition with a few minor dings but nothing which penetrates past the lacquer. I'm based in Medway, Kent. I am willing to listen to any (sensible) offers but this is just a feeler as I'm not desperate to offload it, it's a superb example.
I got a yamaha attitudeII ,the billy sheehan signature model ,over £1500 new if your interested, I think you may have bought this off me a couple a years ago, It has a chip on the upper part of the body?? mark in Belvedere

 21.
Hello I was just wondering if anyone out there could suggest a set of High C 5 strings. The last couple of sets I have bought where the Warwick Red 6ers and just forsaked the low B because that was the cheapest option. Recently I have decided that I really dont get on with them so thought I'd ask you fine folk to give me opinions. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
exiler strings are excellent your buy a standard 4 plus a high c ,a little pricey but they last big time
 22.
Hi, just wondered if anybody had any experience of these pups.
the kent armstrong pups are blinding, I put them in most of mine ,high output vintage jazz are excellent as are there stingray humbuckers they are more like the original ernie ball ones in sound
 23. 2 options mate, either WD music, they have a web site they can do what ever you want or TMT music in orpington but they are more custom jobs I would go with WD myself and have bought loads of plates off them in the past.
 24. I just like the bridge sounds, i know what you mean tho, my other option is to put a humbucker at the bridge.
 25. I am toying with the idea of letting my Yamaha ltd II go, There is so much about it I love but at the same time there are niggles that put me off. If you want an out and out huge rock sound this is the one, but if the next song in your set is an old funky tune from the 70's it aint there with out a lot of adjusting and with such a complex Eq system, I just can't get away from a jazz or something with a music man style pickup at the back. The bass has a few knocks, chips ect but nothing that effects it's playability or stability Up for 4 or 5 string trades, i am south east london/kent. The Eq on these is as follows, knob closest to jacks p pickup volume the next is neck eq cut/boost then neck volume, at the moment i have wired the neck eq pot so it is a eq for the p pickup ,I can easy reverse this, it's only one wire. You can also run to 2 amps using one jack per pickup, I have a LMK 2 channel amp and have been using it this way aswell.
