1. Very interested in the CS3, is it still available? Cheers, Will
2. When did the standard Ray get the pickup switching...? Website looks way better than before!
3.
Well, it's the same profile as the Urge I, as far as I know, the profile was kept the same, just "scaled up" for the Urge II! But it was a very nice neck I'll admit! Still loving your Urge II Will? Ain't seen you on MSN for a while (Is the Street_rider address defunct now?). Got some good news today too, I see that Stuart is going to be touring with Joe Satriani again, which is a pleasant surprise as I have front row, center tickets for the Newcastle show!
Yeah a while back my msn was hacked everyone was deleted so I had to set up another account which got deleted because I couldn't get onto it due to 3 broken computers and 2 ballsed up modems and I've finally got msn back, coupla months ago! What was your addy I'll add you on my new account? My Urge II is amazing still, got new hardware for it now thats in the process of being put on there, black badass III and some black schaller ultralights. Its gonna look lush when i get it resprayed gloss olympic white with an abalone pickguard! You still got your Kubicki...?
4. Hi Chris Is the Urge Standard neck the same or similar to the neck on the Urge II's...? The Urge II us the best bass ever (IMO) Cheers Will
5.
Ya see i'm looking for something (4 or 5 i'm not sure yet) that has a neck and a feel like my tobias (really thin neck and assymetrical, small body too with 24 frets so it feels nice and small in my hands) but it sounds really ballsy like my musicman and obviously looks really nice.
What you are after is a Fender Stu Hamm Urge II, small body (thinner than p bass lighter than a jazz bass) has a fast assymetrical neck, its lightweight, has a never ending tonal variety...I was after the same as you and it was the Fender Urge II that had it all! Brand new they're about £1100 - £1300, second hand (if you can find one) theyre about £700 - 900 Oh and all the warwicks I played did have the same fat neck (corvettes, streamer stage 1 and a thumb thru neck 4) Hope that helps, Will
6. I'm interested in the OLP is it a four string or a five...? and whats the asking price of it? Ta, Will
7.
You could try a Yamaha Bb, mine's ace.
I had forgotten about yamahas completely, cheers 610! I do like the looks of the OLP's and I'm dying for a real stingray! I also love the Rockbass corvette again cos I'm dying for the real Warwick Corvette! Thanks for all the help so far!
8. This is very tempting! Quick question though, can you put an ordinary jazz control plate and pickguard on it or not? I dont like the huge black pickguard on there. Cheers, Will
9.
After a bit of a setup my OLP now plays and sounds just fine. In fact if your interested drop me a PM!
What OLP have you got ste...?
10. Evening guys n gals I'm curretnly looking for a back up bass as im putting my Fender in to have a big of work done on it and I'm going to be in need of a back up bass. I've got a budget of about £350 max so I've been looking at Rockbass, OLP's, Squiers and few other brands. I'm in need of some advice when it comes to OLP and Rockbass; I haven't come across either in shops so I was wondering if they're actually any good seeing as theyre both so cheap, or do you get what you pay for? Any other recommendations on basses around this price range are welcome! Thanks in advance Will
11. Problem is now solved, I was putting it in a gigbag today and i noticed the neck was bowed slightly so I adjusted the truss rod and set it up and the intonations alright now! Out of curiosity though what is it that causes necks to bow?
12. Howdy folks, I'm having some problems with the intonation on my bass, its been set up professionally twice and its gone out yet again! This shouldn't happen on a bass of this quality, does anyone have any ideas on anything I can do to prevent this? I read somewhere about the Buzz Feiten Shelf nut but would like to keep this as a last resort if nothing else can be done to stop the intonation going out as it requires a modification to the bass that I'd rather not do unless its desperate. Also whilst I remember can people please recommend me some very decent luthiers please? I've been through the list of luthiers but would really appreciate some word of mouth recommendations to have some fairly extensive mods carried out to my bass. I've decided I want to get LEDs in the neck so I'm going to go to sims for that but I'd also like to get a new bridge and new tuners with hipshot fitted which will apparently require some mods because none of the hardware is standard Fender hardware! Sorry for the waffling and the ranting and thanks in advance if anyone can help Will
13. Hey Smash, I own an Urge II and I have to say I didn't have this problem. I recently had it set up as my intonation was out but I've had it nearly two years and its the only problem I've ever experienced with it. How long you had yours and what colour you got? I've never met anyone with another Urge II, everyone on the Stu Hamm forum seems to prefer the Kubicki or the Urge I and not many fans of the Urge II Cheers, Will

15. Hi, I no longer need my microbass amp as I just bought a brand new rig and a second hand nemesis 1x15. Its got a 3 band EQ, inout and headphone jacks, rated at 20 watts I believe but correct me if I'm wrong there, and its a single 10 inch speaker. there are a couple of small scratches on the corners of it but nothing major. If anyones interested I'm after about £30 for it + P&P. I'm based in Windsor and will deliver, within reason, for petrol money or I can arrange a courier at buyers expemse. I'm also selling an Ibanez GSR 205 and will sell the two together as a beginners pack. Thanks for looking, pics will be along shortly! Will
16. Hi Guys, I'm having to sell my Ibanez GSR 205, it's a really nice bass but I just don't play it often enough to keep it and could really benefit from the cash right now! I bought it second hand off a mate who also rarely used it. It's in excellent condition, about 3 months old and never left his or my bedroom. There isn't a single scratch anywhere on it, the only different thing was he had to replace the E string. Spec wise its a 5 string, active eq with DXS jazz style pickups, 20 medium frets. If anyone wants it I can also supply with gigbag and lead (no extra charge). I also have a peavey Microbasss for sale and will sell it as a beginners style pack for £200 or just the bass £140 + P&P (cheapest I found them new was £179.99 on GAK) If anyone feels this price is unreasonable then do let me know. I'm based in Windsor and will consider delivering, within reason, for petrol money or I can arrange a courrier at buyers expense. Thanks for looking, I'll add pics hopefully tomorrow if not monday! Will
17.
...from August??
Yeah I realise its a long shot but I'm desparate for one and can't yet afford one brand new so figured it was worth a shot
18. I'm being a bit thick but is it £35 including postage or £35 plus postage...? I am rather interested in this if its still available! Will
19.
Other than that most rate the ABM above the MAG.
IMO the Mag heads are better than the ABM range but the ABM cabs are of better quality to the MAG cabs...I just bought a Mag600H and Mag 410T Deep, what an amp seriously! I don't know much about the 210 and 115 Mag cabs but if theyre anything like the 410 then you won't be disappointed. As pointed out by someone earlier they do require some compression as they are a bit boomy but its not absolutely vital. The Mag600 head is pretty cheap over at Soundslive, I got mine from Thomann.de for about the same price although I think its gone up on thomann now due to exchange rates or summat. Will
20. I Have an Ibanex GSR205 for sale, I'm posting it in the for sale section tomorrow. It's fairly new got given it by a mate who couldn't get on with it and I now have no space for it. Theres no scratches or marks on it at all, I'll post some pics tomorrow, haven't sorted a price out yet but I'll let you know if youre interested. If you require it I can sort out a gigbag, lead and strap for it. Cheers, Will
21. would you be willing to split the rig up...if so how much for the korg tuner? Cheers, Will
