1. Cheers Guys, well, I am in my 40's and after decades of gigs up and down the country, and now with a few growing kiddi winks - the odd ocassioal gigs here and there is just about manageable alongside long working hours. I still love the bass and all the quality equipment, etc, etc that goes with it, you know the score. Regards Kalim
2. Hi All, I am now having to sell my beloved Tech Soundsystems NeoDynamic ND4x10S (4ohm version) 1200w cab due to no longer in my main band. That’s it, major gigging days over for me but will not be giving up playing as I have just bought a quality EBS combo from a forum member for home practice and the odd local gigs, therefore need to sell to cover funds. Pics, http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=28585&hl Anyway, I bought this cab from Allen/Why Not - from this forum not so long ago. I believe he bought it from Doods. This cab has been lovingly cared for and it is in excellent condition with no dents, etc. Specs are exactly as stated. Variable tweeter control and speakon inputs. Also has a jack input for turning the tweeter off via footswitch (not included). The sound is superb for all styles and is very articulate and warm. I have never heard a B string of a five string bass sound so clear and natural as I have with this cab! I was told by Tech that this cab uses very high quality components even the internal wiring is thick copper and silver, hi-fi quality to and from the speakers, not to mention the expensive Neo speakers and quality of construction materials, hence why they are so costly. The cab has not been abused in any way as it is very loud, even on low setting with the Mark Bass Amp (sold recently on this forum) due to the high sensitivity 103db of the cab. I am not open to offers on this as I paid £500 (plus £40 travel to south to collect it) for this and would like this back. So selling price is no less than £500. I will ONLY accept verified Paypal payment in full or Cash on collection (no cheques) Sorry - definitely not into posting/shipping this cab! Cheers Kalim
3. Hi, Rock covers, I can't remember the exact name but I thnik I am close. Anyway, it is made by a company based in Leeds. It sells a lot on ebay but they are very good in my opinion. Mine cover for the Tech cab is all black with black seems as apposed to the usual red Cheers Kalim

5. Hi All, I am selling my Mark Bass 11 Amp amp which I bought some time ago from Etienne on this forum. It is in excellent condition with no sratches and working perfectly. I am only selling due to not being in a band anymore, henc my gigging days are over. I have only gigged with this on 4 occasions since I bought it and never had to push it anywhere over half way, thats how loud and powerful it is but most of all, the sound is big, fat, warm and clean, even at low volumes. A great all round amp. Ace for Funk (slap, tickle and pop) rock/reggae especially!! I actually got a Mark Bass F1 before this, although very good and fairly warm for a digital amp, I returned it as it did not have that broad fatness and sheer warmth I was after! Nuff said. I shall really miss this Mark Bass Amp with the Tech Cab (which I am aslo selling on this forum). But a pwerfull gig machine of this quality is no good sat in the corner of my home for the odd doodle, thus is far too good for just now practising at home - need I say anymore? Pics? Well you all know what it looks like and to its quality (Bass player amp of the year) so I have not botherd to put a pic on as it is in mint condition perfect working order inclduing the Mark Bass carry bag which costs around £75 on its own. I would like £395 for a quick sale, no offers at this price. Cheers Kalim
6. Hi All, I am now sadly having to sell beloved Tech Soundsystems NeoDynamic N4x10 (4ohm version) 1200w cab due to no longer in a band. Thats it, gigging days over for me but will not be giving up playing just yet as I will settle for the likes of a quality EBS combo for home practice. 12. Hi, I have been in the Tech club, ever since I bought Warwickhunts well looked after Tech 2x 10's. I sold it becuase I wanted more of the same superb sound, but in 4 x10's. I regreted it as then I found it hard find the 4x10's! so, I am now after the 4x10's on offer here. So yes they are fantastic and I know Doods on here knows them inside out....I mean literally! Regards Kalim

17. Hi, I have read a lot on who played 'I was made to love her' and I personally think that Jameson played on the recording but that is not to say that Carol Kay did not may be play on a version of this recoding or demo as Slutsy's book on Jameson goes into some detail about how recordings were made in other areas and then trasnferred across. I honestly can't see Carol Kay deliberately trying to doop people as she was also a great session player with a great reputation, I read that some drummers use to be so nervous when recording with her as she was that good! And lets not forget that she too had a Jazz background as a guitarist, so she had an ability to come up with slick creative lines too. So I think we should give her the benefit of doubt, even if she may not have played on the original, she may have done so on a re-release or demo version or something and could have got mixed up, or two versions recorded whereby Jamesons got selected somewhere along the line? Cheers Kalim
18. Hi, John Deacon is one very underated player who in my opinion is a fantastic player both in terms of taste and melodic playing. A very solid player indeed whos parts fit the songs like a glove . Its ok tapping and slapping and raking and stuff but this is where it is really at, at least for me. Cheers Kalim
