1. Unfortunately not - will try to record something
2. They're fantastic. Xotic's and Lakland's are my favourite jazz-flavoured basses. You may want to look at Alpher too, I had one Mako that was a beast of a jazz. Carvin also make a jazz that nails the Marcus tone, if that's what you're after.
3. I'd drop I'm afraid of Americans and include Space Oddity. I'd personally play Seven days or Wild is the wind or Life on Mars (heck I'd play all 3) if you have a good singer.
4. I'd buy it right away were it not for the stickers 😃 Glwts!
5. OK so: 1150 GBP for a straight sale shipping included anywhere in the EU Open to trades - value remains at 1600. Could be as px for things I've never owned: Ken Smith, Fodera, Alembic, MM Sabre, Lakland 44-94, Roscoe, Ritter, MTD... what have you. 4 string fretted preferably.
6. The moment the sound starts to change, I know I need to cut my fingernails.
7. still waiting... note that closeup pics were taken to emphasize the dings... probably making it all look worse than it actually is...
8. Bump with price reduction to 1300£
9. Hi I recently got two 5-string basses with the intention to keep just one - tough call but one has to go... So for sale only, this totally awesome W&T Zoid Custom. Jawdropping in the flesh, and I don't say this lightly - truly a work of art! It was custom made for BCer basscell, I am its second owner. Specs: ZOID shape / Bolt-on / Scale length: 34" Strings interspace at the bridge: 17.5mm Neck wood options: 3-piece Wenge / Maple / Wenge Fretboard: Maple Frets: 24, Medium-small size Position dots on fretboard: Abalone 6mm Body: Mahogany Top: Maple with transparent colour stain Pickups: Dual Sonic configuration Haeussel/Wood&Tronics custom Alnico 5 Toggle switch selects bridge pickup coils (either or both) Pickup covers: Maple Tuners: Hipshot Ultralites Bridge: Wood&Tronics Preamp: East/W&T 3-band preamp with internal frequency presets. Finish: Fine-satin A variety of tones are available from the East preamp with coil switch - the bridge pickup seems to have an Alembic- inspired design. The tone could perhaps be described as an 'alembicized' jazz, but these things are subjective anyway. Very comfortable neck. The bass is essentially mint, with only a few very very light use marks. The frets are a bit sharp on the treble side of the fingerboard, but that's about it. Straight sale price with a soft/hard (rigid) Rockbag and shipping included is [s]1300[/s]£ - now only 1150. Any questions, please drop me a pm. Thanks!
10. Just traded basses with Janek - fantastic guy, really flexible and friendly, first class basschatter. The bass came well packaged, perfectly set up and almost in tune right out of the case! Deal with confidence. Thanks Janek!
11. For sale this well-known extraordinary pedal, in excellent condition. Tap tempo, 11 delay modes (including a looper), 23 seconds of delay max, LCD screen, headphone output. No PSU. 100£ shipped, comes with original box. Paypal ok. Thanks!
12. Hi For sale in mint condition this dual distortion pedal. It leans towards the scooped type of distortion, which is my favourite with bass (the Boss Metal Zone that I hated for guitar worked very well for bass imo). Allows for dirty and dirtier via the dual footswitch, or as booster. With original box and manual. No PSU, but takes a standard 9v one. Info here: http://www.tonebone.com/bones-fullerton.htm Straight sale price is 80£ shipped, paypal accepted. Trade value as above, but only potentially interested in certain EHX pedals. Thanks
13. Lovely - no trades?
14. Thanks again for your help guys, much appreciated! Great to know this can be repaired fairly easily - the bass is now with Martin Sims to retrofit some leds, maybe he'll be able to do something about it... Cheers
15. Many thanks - the strings were at tension, if I remember correctly (I only do otherwise if explicitly requested by the buyer) The buyer is being really patient and I will strive to sort it out in the best way possible, but damn, the bass was in great shape!
16. Yes, that is the case indeed. I also got this close up: Any help appreciated!
17. Only in bubblewrap! I am usually uber protective when shipping and not used to these mishaps. So it seems that my initial impression could be correct - either mishandling or temperature? - however impossible it might be to prove that it wasn't my fault 😞 Do you guys know if this type of thing can be repaired without too much trouble?
