1. Yes, of all the basses I have or ever owned this has to be the worst fitting neck I have seen. <p> Report item Description Postage and payments eBay item number: 351656344704 Seller assumes all responsibility for this listing. Item specifics Condition: Used : Seller notes: “GENERALLY EXCELLANT, SOME MINOR WARE, VINTAGE ITEM, SEE PHOTOS AND DESCRIPTON FOR FULL DETAILS” Type: Electric Bass Size: 4/4 Brand: Tokai Right-/ Left-Handed: Right-Handed MPN: Does Not Apply No. of Strings: 4 string EAN: Does not apply Questions and answers about this item No questions or answers have been posted about this item. Ask a question- opens in a new window or tab Recently viewed items Feedback on our suggestions
2. Thanks Doomed, The neck fits the description ok, But its very loose in the next pocket about a 3mm gap on one side, the body of a different bass ?
3. Hi Jon Thanks for getting back, It was sold to me as an early eighties Tokai Jazz and when I recieved it I took the neck off and don't understand the stamp mark in the neck pocket. The neck looks to be genuine but the body ?? The tuners have 3 screws and can be tightened by the collars. Is the body a 97 do you think Brian
4. Oh forgot to add, the truss rod is adjusted by an allen key, in some pics I've seen its a slotted type ???
5. Hi Guys Need some help again, I recently bought this 1980 ish Tokai Jazz bass and noticed right away that the neck pocked was not as tight as it should be so decided to take the neck off to see the pocket. As you can see the stamp 1997 DEM stamped on the body. Not having a Tokla before so does anybody have any idea what this might be or what should be stamped there. The neck looks ok but not great as I think someone was messing around with some lacquer spray near the nut and headstock. There is a plate at the back stamped L45786 Hope these photos help Thanks in advance guys
6. Hi Timmo And to cap it all my new flight case landed today and she said what is that for, I said I sold a bass and I need to replace it with something new, perfect
7. All well that end well, the seller has refund me all the money and paid for the return courier. He accepted that it should have been in the listing, he said that I should have known from the pictures that it was a Highway, since I never seen one before then I was mis-led. Happy ending all around
8. Well guys I took the pick guard off and the finish below it was satin and original, it is indeed a Highway one, never came across one of these before. Plays and sound great by the way but I purchased was I thought was a standard precision and paid a good price for it 600 with shipping. I guess the highways can be got for a little less. Anyone here any experience of them I don't know if I should keep it and ask for some cash back due to it being mis-sold or get my money back and get the standard model thanks for all your input gentlemen, much appreciated
9. Thanks dlloyd I knew someone on here would know the craic, many thanks Brian

11. Hi Cameltoe I have done a spot of spraying in my time and I would do a better Job than the finish on this one, it would need rubbed down with 2000 grit and repolished its that bad. It looks no where near the finish on my Mexican precision. the neck will be removed tomorrow when the Minister of home affairs is out and hopefully all will be revealed. By the way its got a badass bridge fitted and this is a 2008 model which sported a high mass bridge anyway. The fender logo is quite large as is the word precision which spreads across the length of the headstock. Come back tomorrow for the pic reveal
12. Thanks Guys Then pics are definitely needed. It's not a road worn or highway one that much I can tell.. Watch out tomorrow for the pics and hopefully this will sort it out.
13. Hi Guys, I need some expert help/advice. I recently bought a Fender precision Bass off the evil bay and received it today, it was advertised as having minor wear marks and it's a 2008 model. Anyway having a good look at the overall finish of the body(black) and the finish is somewhat very DIY looking and it's not the high gloss finish that is on my other Precision., What is the best way to check if the finish has been over sprayed at some stage, no pics at the moment as its hidden away from the other half, you know the score lads but I will get some up tomorrow. Ant help much appreciated. The serial number is fine by the way Brian
14. Thanks for that, I see you have the Greco up foe sale as well, two nice looking basses. Sorely tempted
15. Bump for a fantastic bass, I have one in red, single pickup only but very good sounding bass. Oozes quality
