  1. Just bought a set of Squier CV tuners from him. Comms were immediate, postage was minutes after and the delivery was next day. Quickest deal I’ve done on here and I’ve had a few! I almost contacted Norris McWherter!

Needless to say Tony is a highly recommended seller!

Thats a really nice job you've done there NoirBass👍

Thanks, it’s my first time attempting any routing so I’m pleased it worked out. I’ve been heavily influenced by the guy at Crimson guitars YouTube channel. So many great tips on there.

  3. Right, spent the morning making a routing template, routing the battery cavity, drilling a new pot hole in a new control plate and doing all the soldering.

I located the battery where it is to try a counter balance the neck dive, which has worked to some extent - better but not gone.

It sounds really good and given the money I’ve spent it’s remarkably close to a classic Stingray. It’ll come with me on my next gig. Here are the results, I’m well cuffed.

  4. My second purchase from Jamie, this one equally as smooth as the last.

Not only did he bring the bass to London (as he was working there) to make my life easier, but he also sold me a peach of a bass - much like he did last time!

    Can’t recommend him highly enough.

  5. Bought an MXR Bass Dyna Comp from Martin. Super easy deal, pedal as described, great comms, Insanely over engineered packaging. Spot on purchase, top man.

  6. Got my filthy mitts on a Retrovibe Stinger ‘77 pre amp! After a little surgery, Wow! What a difference - this thing sounds killer, full on MM Stingray.
Here’s a pic with a very Heath Robinson setup until some routing occurs…

  7. I acquired one of these basses and was surprised too by the quality of the fit and finish. I’ve just upgraded the bridge to a Fender hi-mass and added an Aguilar AG-4M pickup - both of which I found here on the marketplace. Both upgrades were direct replacements for the stock parts too. This is now a fantastic poor man’s Stingray!

  8. Bought an Origin Cali76 from Ben, super smooth process from start to finish.

Great comms, Superbly packed with very quick postage and the pedal is exactly as described.

Can't ask for more than that!

It arrived today so I’ve had a literal 10 minute whirl through some patches and it sounds fantastic so far. I find the menu system ok to be honest, I’ll probably modify existing patches rather than build my own from scratch at least for a while. I’ve been a VB99 user for years and love mine to bits but I don’t really use it as a synth, more as a Swiss Army knife pre/interface and multi fx. It’s got the best compressor in I’ve ever tried (including cali big box and FEA). Awesome thing, and I love the form factor. But with that many buttons it’s easy to work of course.

Yeah, VB-99 is a great price of kit. I recently got a SY1000 and whilst in some areas it’s a step forward, in many others; form factor, poly effects, etc. it’s a bit of a step backward.

Sorry for the thread derail, enjoy the Squeezer.

  10. I tried one of these and whilst it sounded great I found it really awkward to program. Good luck, I’m sure with patience you’ll have some great results.

I also have the VB-99 which in comparison is a doddle.
