Ben bought a Squier 50’s P bass from me. Came over and demoed it - had a lovely chinwag with him, he paid me and went on his way with his new bass. Hope you enjoy it mate. Good luck in the hunt for another one to mod!

After relieving NoirBass of another Squier earlier today, I couldn't resist having a play of this one too! It's an absolute beauty and a joy to play. Squiers are ridiculously good these days.
You won't be disappointed.
Thanks for the endorsement sir! -

I wonder what she looks like naked... without the scratch plate... or a clear plate for more wood...
I have a feeling there is a rout from the pickup to the pots - quite standard on the CV’s I’ll investigate and update tomorrow.

Another of my CV's up for sale, This is the original MIC version with the Pine body (apparently many of the early Fenders had pine bodes too?!) this one is also very clean/near new condition (no knocks, dings or fret wear) and has a Seymour Duncan SCPB3 Quarter Pound single coil pickup upgrade. I have the original stock pickup which I will include in the sale. I'm just not using it at the moment and so it's up for grabs.
No case with this, sorry.
Very happy to demo the bass here in N21 - Winchmore Hill, North London.
I'd much prefer collection in person, but I can also post at cost in the UK if needed as I do have a proper shipping box from another bass I purchased from Andertons in the summer.
Been asked a few questions about the neck pocket which is a very nice fit - see new pics and the weight - just under 4Kg!- 12

Price drop - £275!
Nice Squier version of the classic Mustang bass. Great fit and finish like all the CV range. This one is in very good/almost new condition (no knocks, dings or fret wear) and has a nice set of Labella low tension flats fitted giving thumpy 60's tones. Nice weight too, only selling as my Nordstrand Acinonyx covers this ground and more.
No case I'm afraid.

Bought a Flyrig v2 from Ryan, which he posted promptly with Evri. Unfortunately, after a week or so it had not arrived.
After chasing for several days it seems it has been lost by them.Ryan, kept me in touch throughout and let me know the situation as it unfolded.
He kindly gave me a full refund and is now seeking compensation from them.
Although the outcome was unfortunate, he was spot on in his communication with me and I can only hope Evri give him his money back.

This is possible (external FS-7 for patch up and down, 3 buttons to switch things on/off in each patch) - as thats how I run mine, but with some downsides the main one being that the looper function is no longer accessible.

I don't 'need' any more pedals (I play in bands that don't require any effects - just utility pedals) but this forum is serious temptation - to the point I might need to make an effot to not visit! My current Basschat induced GAS is:
- Boss RE-2 or 202
- MXR Poly Blue Octave
- Strymon Deco
- Cali 76 Bass Compressor
And if Behringer release a decent and reasonably priced clone of the MF-101, and Source Audio release a C4 'XL' with a more preset access and a few more hardware controls (similar to their Collider/Ventris/Nemisis) I'll be all over them.
The Poly Blue Octave is fast becoming my favourite pedal! It was a slow burner for me, but once I sussed it, wow! It has so much scope and has allowed me to remove half my pedalboard.
It can cover. Synth, Analogue Octave down, Organ style POG effects, Chorus, Fuzz, Drive even Royal blood at a push, plus a myriad of other things. I might even get another one and have 2 on the board with different settings?

I bought a Darkglass VMT from Rob and couldn't be happier.
Pedal was exactly as described - near mint and with the box and instructions. It was extremely well pack and arrived the day after I paid for it exactly as Rob had said it would in his prompt a friendly comms.
Thanks again Rob and all the very best.

Some of the jags in the past were fitted with a Jazz style bell plate (the standard, nicely symmetrical one). Would the routing one these allow for fitting of such a plate?
The plate on these is quite small so I’d imagine a standard J type bell plate would look awkward and would not fit nicely?

It’s super nice in person!! It’s getting the standard new bridge and a bartolini MM might even turn my blue into a HH and put a second stock pickup in it
Brilliant, I look forward to seeing the results.

Just bought a set of Squier CV tuners from him. Comms were immediate, postage was minutes after and the delivery was next day. Quickest deal I’ve done on here and I’ve had a few! I almost contacted Norris McWherter!
Needless to say Tony is a highly recommended seller!

Thats a really nice job you've done there NoirBass👍
Thanks, it’s my first time attempting any routing so I’m pleased it worked out. I’ve been heavily influenced by the guy at Crimson guitars YouTube channel. So many great tips on there.

Right, spent the morning making a routing template, routing the battery cavity, drilling a new pot hole in a new control plate and doing all the soldering.
I located the battery where it is to try a counter balance the neck dive, which has worked to some extent - better but not gone.
It sounds really good and given the money I’ve spent it’s remarkably close to a classic Stingray. It’ll come with me on my next gig. Here are the results, I’m well cuffed.
