1. I would watch out for one of the better Schecter Jazzers as they are amazingly cheap for highly specced bits of kit. They have very nice EMG's. Others are the Jap Bass collections or if your willing to stray a bit from the Jazz shape what about a Cort GB or Ibanez. They are all excellent bang for buck
2.
Yep, that's how mine is set. You use the one little switch to select the function of the one footswitch, it either operates the effects, or as an off button. Mine is set as an off, I don't really use the effects.
Thats a big tick
3.
Playing guitar and singing ? Obviously somebody who is multi talented ;)I can do neither
Hmm well I'm not going to set the world but I'm working on the theory that someone will hear my songs and want to collaborate-then I can switch to playing bass Anyway I'm sick of bands falling apart for no apparent reason
4.
Just saw a buy it now price of £60 ( + postage £65 approx), for the e h x Worth grabbing? Just bid £48.52p . 5 days left . If I get outbid ,and it's still there , I may bid the full amount .
They recently came down from around the £100 to under 80 so thats a fair price I think. Note: My problem is the double stomping to stop it while playing guitar and singing as I'm not very confident at any of them. My wife could probably do it better
5. Well EHX 360 is another little pedal so probably not what your after Ray but its good fun. I'm using it for playing my own stuff at open mics. I recorded a couple of bass lines in the slots and it's great for a solo set. It's usable, silent small and has some auto memory slots. It's also doesn't break the bank!. 6. The Farida HB20 is one of the smallest and lightest that I have played. It also sounds great-a powerful little tyke. http://basschat.co.uk/topic/222095-fs-ft-farida-hb20-hypersonic-series-set-neck-pj-lightweight-cw-farida-hard-case/
7. Nice job, nice vibe!

Dave bought a guitar neck from me. Prompt payment and good communication made it a fast and easy deal. Thanks
9.
The Delanos are not vintage sounding PUs. If you are looking for that, get Häussel PUs. On the other hand, I would not say they are extremely bright; you can dial in a lot of usable tones. Also, the demo video above is not a very good representation...
+1, I have had both and agree with the above.
10. Makes me appreciate my MM's even more. Nice to see "the man" play too.
11. Nice I like the matching headstock GLWTS
12.
I'm interested in this too. For instance can i use my Android tablet connected to a projector?
That sounds good......I was thinking along those lines. A friend of mine bought a digital home projector quite cheaply a couple of years back and set up stuff for his 50th. Unfortunately I can't ask him for advice as he didn't make 51
13.
Not sure what one of these is. Anything like a pub?
Maybe a noisy pub if you have had a lot to drink
14. Hi, I'm in a rock band and we play within a musical soundscape. It would be good to accompany this with changing projected imagery. Can someone suggest the basic kit needed to start?
15. An absolute bargain and sooo beautiful.
16. Schecter Stiletto is a really nice pit of kit. Yammy TRB's, Ibanez BTB's. Ive had all three makes in the past and they are solid builds and a quality product. I wouldn't worry about the through neck thing as I don't think it makes a noticeable difference and would consider the bolt on Stilettos and TRB1004 The tight string spacing is a tricky one hmmmm
17.
Have you joined PPL to get your ISRC Codes?
That's in hand thanks. I just sent off the forms this Monday. We've had a bit of radio play with our demos already so that was already overdue.
18. Thanks all much appreciated. "Mastering" is happening later this week but its always good to be ahead of the game.
19.
Buy a P bass?
That sounds like good advice to me I struggled with Jazz basses for a long time, mainly because I love the tone when playing at home but whenever I played live they just lacked "beef". I now play a Stingray...problem solved. If you don't like Stingrays or P basses what about a high end ibanez, something with EMG's or a Fender Jazz deluxe? I'd start with a P bass or Stingray though.
20. I'm really pleased that my band are nearly finished our first EP......the tracks get mastered this week and we the art work and covers are ordered Every-things being done in house as much as possible to keep costs down and we see this primarily as a promotional exercise. The plan is to produce a small number of CD's promotion and sale and to sell downloads..
21. All mine are three band eq but for for me its is as you say below.
The bass just sounded right to me.
22. Thanks, I have had a look in the directions you both pointed and sure enough there are loads of good microamps and boosts out there to pick from. I already have a BB Xotic pre-amp and a B' Assmaster OD so have that area well covered. I notice there are some British made pedals from Boo etc. Which to choose...its always tempting to get something that does more than you need
23. I just wondered if anyone uses it. I was thinking that I need a subtle volume boost to bring my bass to the front of the mix for some small passages of two numbers. I really don't want to change the sound too much and can't really stop to change settings. I use an EBS Multicomp, which has a gain dial so would adding a 2nd one with the grain dialled up would do the trick? What about alternatives? I see a pedal called a Steel Leather?. Any advice would be much appreciated. I need something pretty compact though as I'm tight on space on my board
24. If you break it down, Glastonbury is amazing value but I have no desire to go to something like that and musically it has lost its way...its just too big My first big festival was Knebworth in 1979, which was the last with Led Zep's original line up. : http://www.ukrockfestivals.com/79-Kneb-festival-recording.html I went to both weekends and was younger and wilder then and so out of it that I don't remember the first concert after about 4.00pm but can recall the 2nd In retrospect the musical experience wasn't that good and my best experiences have been at smaller festivals and gigs. I really enjoyed going to Global Gathering in 2011 and 2012 but thats big enough for me.
