  1. Hi, I'm selling an American Dimension V standard. These passive American 5 stringers are tough to find and this is model is my favourite 5 string bass. So why sell? Well I have two. The only reason that I haven't sold one earlier is that I couldn't decide which to keep and which to sell. However my black one fits my bands image better sot his beaut is now up for sale. About this bass. It handles really well, sounds great both solo and in the mix and I love the look too. I also love the passive vol/vol/tone set up as I can get all the sounds I want and blending/balancing the two pups is really easy to do. It great on the ear. I would describe it as having a smooth but powerful sound that covers the ground between a Stingray and the passive Fenders. I find it preovides everything that I need or want. It is in great condition, pretty much as new with its case as pictured and I don't think that the previous user had used it live at all. I will get better pictures later as the few below were taken in bright sunlight. Most of the time it looks like the one in the video. Specificatiuon and video follow. 2. Thanks for info I'm passing this on to my daughter to see how she gets on.
  3. Hi and yes I can read but the writing on the headstock but I was wondering if it had a specific tag or model name as it seems a bit flash with its binding etc. I didn't buy this bass as it was a wonderfully generous gift from someone for my son who had shown an interest in playing. However he didn't take up playing so I am now wondering if I should jsut keep, sell it and donate the money to a good cause or sell it and get something that my daughter may like to play...she has shown some interest in playing. Anyhow before doing anything I would like to know what it is. Ed
  4. I borrowed some digital scales. Weight is estimated at around 9.7lb (4.4Kg)
  5. Reduced to £300
  6. No answer so still here
  7. still here
  8. Epiphone Thunderbird Pro V I got one a few years back to try a "bird". i liked the sound and style but it seemed to me that Epiphone hadn't taken the time to make it into a propper 5 string and had just pushed the 4 strijng design. The B string was noticibly quieter than the others and I couldn't fit my favourite b string guage through the bridge... I then found that I couldn't get replacement pickups to fit without major surgery so it had to go.
  9. Wowzer I like this! The evil step brother of my white SB2

  19. This a beautiful bass, good luck with your sale
  20. I have mine now as it arrived this morning. I'm very pleased with it as it fits my Fender Dimension V (4+1) nicely, nice and light and well made and bought at the price of a 2nd hand gig bag of similar quality...Not much room for larger basses though. It passes the test of "would you buy it again" with flying colours Ed
  21. I was looking for a "cheap and functional bag" a few days bag and the GT's was also down in price at £55 and are now back at £129 so this one looks like the last of the bargain deals. I couldn't find anything else of that quality at those prices
  22. Hi, I just thought I would put this link up as it seems a good deal. They seem to be well under half price and a lot of bag for the £49. I ordered one of these at the weekend so fingers crossed that it is https://www.gear4music.com/Guitar-and-Bass/GPX-BASS-Gator-Pro-Go-X-Series-Gig-Bag-for-Bass-Guitars/2SSL?utm_campaign=bEngine - Gator&utm_medium=paid_search&network=google&adgroup=65792893099&matchtype=b&utm_term=%2Bgpx %2Bbass %2Bgator %2Bpro %2Bgo&device=c&creative=333267352062&adposition=2o1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI85_t3abA4QIV7ZztCh2WCgdxEAMYASAAEgKrjPD_BwE
  23. Looks like it's mine. My only worry is that I may struggle with the tight spacing, I'll let you know how it goes Ed
