    Bought an EA iAmp800 and EA cab from Andy - they were well packaged, as described and I'm very happy with them. Couldn't ask for more. Very helpful chap and organised the courier for a very reasonable cost considering the weight. He even threw in a speakon cable which was very generous. Thanks Andy

    Very interested in buying the amp head - I assume this is the newer version due to it having no tuner ? Will pm you ref postage etc

    The RPM will do clean very nicely. I use both - the RBI in the effects loop of the RPM which is a killer setup in my opinion. If I was to choose one it'd be the RPM because of the sweepable mid frequencies.

    Bit of a feeler to gauge interest at the moment.... I have had my two Barefaced Compacts for about 15 months and am looking to move to a BF Big Twin-T or similar (mainly due to a GAS attack !!) so the Compacts would have to go They each have a Roqsolid cover (fitted from new) and are in top quality condition - no chips, knocks etc etc. Twin Speakon sockets and metal corners (i.e. newer version) I aways look after my gear and never abuse it during gigs - we use PA support all the time so they have never been pushed that hard. I would like to sell them as a pair and it would be pickup only I'm afraid (Leicester area although I can deliver within a reasonable distance for petrol money) pics attached of two setups that i use for gigs (the rack & bass are not included !!!)

    Little practice rig from band rehearsal last night. The rack is mine but the Ampeg isn't - still prefer my two Barefaced Compacts though (as does my back !)

    No complaints about their customer service both in the UK and USA - they sent a replacement set out very quickly (which was faulty ahem...) It's just a shame that this product seems to be so inconsistent (in my experience) They do seem overpriced for what you (don't) get. Even if they were under £20 / pack it would be unacceptable to have such a perceived high failure rate. As I said - i won't be using them again and will stick to a more reliable and consistent manufacturer.

    To be fair I haven't tried the other strings in the DR range and, to be honest, I don't think I will. I can accept that there will sometimes be bad strings but to have 3 separate packs all with the same problem (dead strings) is unacceptable. The fact that they are marketed (and priced) at a premium level makes my experience with them even more disappointing. But hey, you live and learn - it isn't the first and certainly won't be the last bad purchase I make....

    Just a little rant about the DR Black Beautie strings - I've had 3 sets of them now and EVERY single packet had a fault with them. The second and third set were replacements from the supplier after both had faulty (dead) strings and I've just strung my Vigier with the third replacement set and lo and behold its got a duff G string. Absolute and utter overpriced rubbish. I've gone back to Ernie Ball hybrid slinkys that I've used for years with not one duff set - they sound better to me and are consistent. I only tried them because of good reviews and fancied giving them a go - I should realise by now to not believe most things you read in reviews.... Rant over.....moving on !!

    have a bump for a top set up - i have exactly the same combination of amp/preamp but with 2x b/f compacts - they sound killer

    For sale : As new (used at one practice) 4U Rhino foam sleeved rack case. I have added 2x long rubber feet to the bottom of the case (screwed into proper metal thread inserts) so it fits better on narrower speaker cabinets.
