  1. Selling my Matt Freeman P Bass The bass is in great condition with just a few pick marks on the pickguard. The fretboard edges have been rolled so there is a slight discolouration on the edges. Features include vintage frets and a high mass bridge. The bass is well set up with DR fat beams. As much as I like this bass I don't like the small frets. Viewing is welcome in Exeter. https://flickr.com/photos/69165842@N08/sets/72157683890748695
  2. It always helps to check the fuse 🙄
  3. I think the amp is fooked, switched it on and it crackled and died. It won't even power up now. 😡
  4. I've just picked up a ashdown five fifteen mini rig and expected it to be fairly loud certainly louder than it is. I plugged it in, set the eq flat both volume and gain at around 12 o clock, played a few notes and was immediately disappointed at the low volume, I've turned up both the volume and gain all the way and still it's really not loud at all, the little input meter never really goes very high. Can anyone offer any advise? I tried different cables but it didn't make a difference.
  5. I have for sale a set of d'addario nickel wound super light gauge bass strings. I was going to use them but decided I prefer flatwounds. The item is in good used condition, I have taken the rubber feet off the bottom and fitted Velcro when I attached it to my pedalboard. £20+postage

  9. I'm looking for a small setup for home use, I don't really like small practice amps so I'm looking for just a head at the moment. I'll get a cab at a later date. I'm just wondering what amp head I can use with bass>Amp head<headphones and MP3. Absolute maximum budget of £250. Any help is appreciated

  13. Hi All After a long lay off, I'm wanting to start playing bass again. I've been looking at a few lower end basses and came across these. I know the jazz bass by the same company get a lot of positive reviews and just wondered if anybody had tried the P bass? Spec wise it looks like they are on par with the squire affinity range (possibly squire VM too). I'm only going to be playing along to records and learning some new songs so I'm not looking to spend to much.
  14. I just wish someone would buy my strat so I could finance this bass. Have a bump.
  15. Where are you based kev? Just switched to the full version to see your located in cheshire..... Dam! a bit to far from me.
  16. I've a possible project for someone. A battered and beaten squire P bass. Built in 97 (yako) Taiwan/China. Red (non metallic) rosewood and weights 4kg This bass needs a lot of tlc. Electrics need attention, I'm not sure if the trussrod works and it has dings and dents. The hardware has aged quite a bit and the action is HIGH. So if you fancy a challenge....... Collection from exeter is much preffered . Please contact me for pics.

  18. Sorry no pics as yet, however i could link the completed ebay listing if it was ok with the mods. It seems like it was made in 97 in yako. Going off of what I've seen its actually a useable bass. Apparently it has a full thickness body and ok hardware.
  19. So it would seem sitting at home on sun afternoon with nothing to do has lead to an impulse buy on fleabay. (missus is cursing not taking me to Tesco ha ha) I've ended up with a squire p bass. Can anybody help with some info. Its serial number is on the neck plate and starts with YN7, I've done a little research but was hoping the basschat massive could help with some specs. Thanks in advance.
