1. ..................... now SOLD .......................... One set of 2009 Jason Lollar handwound PJ pickups for 4 string bass. The J pickup has raised polepieces on the A and D string positions. The pickups themselves are immaculate, the covers have a couple of scuffs on them although nothing at all serious. Plenty of wire length. Sound pretty awesome as you might expect. A serious upgrade for any serious bassist. £139 posted to you within mainland UK. No trades thanks.
2. Absolutely immaculate Ashdown ABM EVO IV 4x10 cab, 8 ohm, 600W. Used literally for one gig. This is the 2nd one of these I've owned. IMO they are as good as absolutely anything. Sadly the band folded and I have no need for it in my current band as I go through the PA. I've been holding on to it as it is a quality item but if I join further bands I'd be looking to downsize kit not upsize again. The cab is a heavy-duty piece of kit and I have fitted professional heavy duty 5 inch castors to the bottom, so you can now roll it around as effortlessly as you can play through it. No marks or scuffs on it at all. Pretty much as new, plus the casters of course. £279 Collection only, no exceptions, from the Southampton area. Price is £299, no offers.
3. Oh b*gger. Wish I hadn't spotted this. I'm very tempted to repurchase this baby of mine.
4. Loooong way from me (Southampton)
5. Thanks Molan, Yes, it offers way more than a beginners bass.
6. I'm near Southampton Gary, although am happy to post.
7. Bass now SOLD Lovely 1990 MIJ Tune Bass Maniac 4 string bass. These basses were the original Japanese design that inspired the whole Bass Collection and Ibanez SR range basses. You don't see many for sale because they are pretty awesome and people hang on to them. Ash body with 3-piece laminated maple neck, brass nut. Light as a feather yet still with an authoritative tone that does not get lost with a band. So easy to play it almost plays itself. Very slim neck, 37.5mm nut width. When I got the bass I was very impressed with the ergonomics and playability but not so much with the pickups or preamp. So, it now sports a Tonerider/Wilkinson PJ setup with passive Jazz bass pickups wired VVT (the 4th pot is a dummy pot). Personally, I think it is hugely improved. Great for pretty much any style I guess. Condition is superb for a 27 yr old bass. The neck is immaculate and straight as a die. Probably the loveliest neck of any bass I have ever played. Fret wear is very minimal. The body is generally in excellent condition with a couple of dings and a few other very minor swirls and scuffs. It is not a museum piece, but the general impression is of a bass in excellent condition. I bought this bass from Dandelion, of this forum, and I did trace the original owner, who is also a member here, although with the loss of all my PMs with the website format change I cannot remember who it is and now have no record. I do remember that the original owner told me that the bass was bought new in Spain in 1990 and did have the "Made in Japan" sticker on the cavity cover when new. The sticker is identical in every way to my other MIJ Tune bass. I mention all this because Tune changed production to Korea in or around 1990-91 and this bass has some transitional hardware, more common with MIK basses. However, I can confirm that this bass was made in Japan. Price is £229 posted to you in mainland UK, which I consider an absolute bargain for a classic MIJ bass. Will be sent in a battered but protective hard case. Payment by Paypal gift or bank transfer only please. Collection from me in the Southampton area would also be just fine, and would involve a saving of £15 for you ! No trades thanks. Only for sale as I have another of these, with a slightly prettier front and I am desperate to raise money for a camera lens ! main by Alan Bridges, on Flickr body front by Alan Bridges, on Flickr body rear by Alan Bridges, on Flickr hstock front by Alan Bridges, on Flickr neck rear by Alan Bridges, on Flickr hstock rear by Alan Bridges, on Flickr MIJ by Alan Bridges, on Flickr

10. now SOLD Only a few months old. Pretty much unused. I keep on buying fuzzes and then selling them. I love the idea of them but just don't use them with a band. Same old story. This is my favourite fuzz though ! IMmaculate and comes with the box, instructions, feet etc. Just like a new one. £79 posted to you in mainland UK. No trades thanks. 11. Just sold an Ashdown 4x10 cab to Lozz. A very easy deal. Great comms from Lozz and an absolute pleasure to chat to when he came to pick it up.
12. Now Sold Pretty much unmarked latest 2017 version of the Ashdown ABM 410. 8 ohm. Gigged once. Probably the best cab I have ever owned. However, I simply just don't need this really, and I am trying to raise money for lighting. For your convenience I have now added great big 5" casters and wheeling it around really is a doddle. A superb, truly professional, cab for pretty much half price. I have owned cabs from Vanderkley, Barefaced, Baer, Genz Benz and others and this is absolutely in the same class sonically (although admittedly a bit heavier). £279 collected from the Southampton area. No trades thanks. The blurb from Ashdown says ....... 14. I bought some lighting thingys from Andy. Packed well, sent exactly when he said they would be. Smooth deal. Thanks very much !
15. For grit/OD a COG Knightfall beats all-comers (IMO) !
16. I have tried most of them at one time or another and the Fralin P I currently have is the best for my tastes. Having said that, I also really , really like the Wilkinson ceramic P, which costs about £15. I think its a question of trying a load and finding something that sounds like the sound in your head. Cost does not necessarily always mean better tone with pickups IMO. Sorry, its not a hugely helpful answer.
17.
God i keep looking at this!!!
Just buy the thing. You need to get it out of your system !!!
