Sorry for the delay in updating the thread. The bass finally arrived in mid December and it has taken me this long to put it down and get to a keyboard. I've been watching the progress on this and can't wait to see it all come together!! The rotary control is really interesting...Are you having one control switching from Off-parallel-Series-single coil that effects both pickups? I had wanted to put a switch in my build like this but went with the 'both pickups Parallel-both pickups Single Coil' switch in the end. Maybe I could get it rewired at some point... Sounds like a really versatile bass you've got coming there

Thanks guys...Just added a new close-up picture showing back of the neck... I'd not thought of the similarity to the SR5...I put together my favorite aspects of each Shuker I owned and then added a few extra things...this was the result. Fingers crossed it turns out as well as I hope!!

Having had two previous basses built by Mr Shuker, I wanted to use the experience and knowledge I had gained from the previous builds to spec up my ultimate bass. My reasons for ordering this bass are varied but primarily I wanted to have a bass of the same caliber as my SC bass in the form of a jazz bass. OOoo...It's getting closer!! I'm looking forward to seeing them...He's about 3 hours off finishing a jazz for me and I really can't wait.

This is looking great...My set neck SC Shuker has become my number 1 bass for almost every gig. I'm pretty sure you'll love it. It'll be interesting to see this one 'come to life'
