Necks will change shape with the seasons, will react to the average humidity in the climate in your country as opposed to the country where the guitar was manufactured and/or stocked, etc. Yes to tweaking the truss rod as suggested above, plus do have a look at string height at the nut (if you have an adjustable one). And be prepared to re-check and possibly re-set up every 3-4 months!

I'm having similar problems to yours on my new NS - can it be that these modern-looking, clever EUBs are designed so that we don't need to employ the full-on DB technique to play them, and can instead get by with a hybrid of bass guitar-style and DB-style plucking? Edit - You're talking about your fretting hand (being a lefty, I was confused for a moment!) - what I say still applies, though. Even fretting feels different, both in a good and in a bad way.
