1. Bought in Dec 2010, and used for some home recording only, the saddles are slightly marked but are unfiled (see photo's) comes with the original 5 fixing screws and Allen key. Sorry, I'm not interested in trades. £65 posted. Payment by Paypal gift would be great. Thanks for looking.
 2.
Re: Rythym stick. I have found if i try to play the double 16ths i fall behind, but if i play an 8th instead, its much easier, and if i play it on top of the backing track it sounds 95% the same anyway. Still trying though.
I find that if I don't try to play it at all I'm a nicer natured person.
 3. Not seen one of these for sale for a long time. http://www.ebay.co.u...=item3a6ed0adf9
 4. IMO They're absolutely vile!
 5. I've just bought a wiring kit off of Mark. he's a great bloke to deal with, and as always the item was arrived very quickly and very well packaged. Pete.
 6.
One that many people wouldnt think of is Steve Garvey of The Buzzcocks. some of those early Buzzcocks tracks have excellant bass tone, not forgetting some dextrous fingering.
Agreed mate! I saw The Buzzcocks a few times back in the day. I like his playing a lot, tracks like I Need and Love You More are nice to play a long too. Another great and somewhat overlooked player from that era is Leeroy Gorman (original Adam & the Ants line up & later Bow Wow Wow) http://youtu.be/WxLqzZE2l2g
 7. Can't believe there's no love for Paul Gray (Eddie And The Hot Rods, The Damned, UFO)
 8. IMO it's looking better with the BBOT http://
 9.
I wouldn't go back to a straight P after using PJs
My PJ was this Squier. I bought it for a change from the norm, put the maple Mighty Mite J neck and a BA II on, but as much as I tried just couldn't get to like the sound of the J pup (even after upgrading the stock pups with Wilkinsons) I ended up playing it using the P pup alone. Being back at square one, I re-installed the stock pups and BBOT and sold it on Ebay. http://
 10.
As has been said a million times, Leo got it right in the first (or possibly second) place as far as bridges go. There is nothing at all wrong with the BBOT and in my experience a BA or hi-mass bridge makes little or no difference to your tone. There is certainly more than one BC thread on that subject. Happy New Year!
Happy new year to you too mate! Also thanks for your input, I reverted back to the BBOT yesterday. Yes you're right the BA didn't make any difference to the tone at all. I found that out after installing on my old PJ (I do agree with their claims of greater sustain and easier intonating though) but saying as I'd just paid £80 for it, it was staying put lol. I installed it ungrooved as I didn't fancy filing the saddles and I'd read of other players using them this way without any problems. I now have the dilemma of either selling it or hanging on to it to see if the sought after prices go silly.
 11. The much overlooked powerhouse that is John McCoy. http://youtu.be/UY9SQHhaf5U and sort of in a similar vein, Algy Ward. http://youtu.be/5sB6IuSPna0
 12. oh and this! http://
 13. I find this Kinks rip off is a nice little ditty for arsing around with! and also this little gem.
 14.
The neck is a slab though!
Yeah I think I know wot you mean by a slab. It wasn't until I had a go on a '76 Precision that I realised that the neck on my Hondo was a bit wider than a Fender. This for me was a welcome discovery, because as much as I loved the Precision look and sound, the wide neck issue had been putting me off wanting to upgrade to another one. I just wish I'd got to play that Fender sooner then I wouldn't have wasted my money on the two basses that followed the Hondo lol.
 15.
Yours looks a little different - more of a straight copy. Mine has a more stylised headstock with a sunburst finish. It's a Hondo Deluxe! It's been a great bass - the stuff it's been through for the last 30 years doesn't bear thinking about but it's still hanging in there!
Yes they're tough little bastards, mine took some stick in the time I had it, I only had two problems with it. 1. The pickups came away from their covers, but that was easily sorted with a bit of sponge. 2. The nut broke at the outer edge of the E slot, replaced it with a brass nut and never looked back. I hope you get yours sorted to how you want it!
 16.
If you decide to part out the BA2 let me know.
Will do mate
 17.
It is plywood I think.
If it's this model, (Hondo made two or three different Precisions) it's more than likely plywood, mine was.
 18.
I have seen Mighty Mite stuff around, but again they don't give away an awful lot on their website! Is there a British retailer that you know of that I can find out more from? Cheers guys! Liam
This bloke will sort you out with a Mighty Mite neck, his name is Dave. I (like a few others on here) have bought off of him, he's a good bloke, very quick delivery too.
