1. Had the pleasure of trading some gear with Dave, really easy and painless! Would totally recommend! Cheers Dave
2.
don't sell this beauty, you know you'll regret it!
It's taken me a good couple of weeks to convince myself to finally put it up here! Ha ha At the end of the day though, it's kinda pointless having it if it's never going to be used at full pelt.
3. Now SOLD! Thanks to everyone who PM'd me! Cheers George! Rich
4. Thanks for all the interest. This is on hold until tomorrow now! Cheers!
5. My band, The Hiding Place, are a four piece from Stoke playing alt-rock stuff. I guess we are influenced by Thrice, Brand New, Circa Survive, Alexisonfire, He Is Legend and loads of others. Kinda hard to narrow it down, ha ha. Hope someone enjoys it anyway. Cheers!
6. PICS! Note: there is wear on top of the bridge, where my hand sits. Nothing major.
7. I just bought a new Sandberg which has cleaned me out, so im going to have to sell my Thumb 5. Its the Bolt On version, and I believe it was made in 2006. The nut has been upgraded to a Just-A-Nut III, and has just been set up beautifully by my local guitar tech. Punchy as hell and has amazing harmonics. I would like £600, such a lot of bass for the money! Please get in touch if you have any questions at all, or would like to give it a try. I am based in Stoke On Trent. Pics up soon. Cheers, Rich
8. Anyone know of any guys that teach around the midlands area? I live In Stoke on Trent. I'd love to have some lessons to get me moving again, seem to have lost all momentum. Must be great to get feedback from real pro's!
9. Not been on here in a while, so i thought id kick off again with a question. Im looking to replace the pickups in my jazz, looking for something alot more aggressive and dirty. I believe the pickups in my bass currently are wizard 64's. Anyone had any experience trying to find the same sort of thing? Any suggestions? Muchly appreciated!
10. Going to see them the day before this, cant wait!!! Just gotta explain to my guitarist friend why we have to stand infront of Myung
11. Alex, could you explain how the vintage has a higher frequency for the F6 value as opposed to its F3? Am i missing something??? Cheers
Vintage 38" high x 24" wide x 13.5" deep / ~52lbs / 103dB / F3=59Hz F6=61Hz
I sold Matt a preamp recently, and he is really great to deal with. No worries at all and a really pleasant guy too. Cheers Matt!
14. Noooo, not like that. I know what you were thinking . Just finished listening to Rage Against The Machine - Battle For Los Angeles album, which I havent listened to in a long time, and it always gives me loads of energy. It makes me want get out and do something. Always great for that pre-gig warm up song Soooo, what do you listen to that makes you feel...'up for it'?
15. Not having any experience of the SVP-Pro, I cant speak for that. I dont think the samples do the BSP much justice though, it sounds muuuch better in the flesh (IMHO of course). The BSP is properly versatile though. It really brings out the growl of my warwick thumb, and sounds great clean or can get nice n dirty too. Plus, its all blendable, which is nice.
