2.
Nice!
Cheers Leonard!
3. Hi, here's a video recorded in my friend's teaching studio of a funky little groove, featuring my righteous sounding Carvin SB5000. I love it so! Video features the very talented John Waugh from The 1975 on tenor sax, Phil Hudson (Lighthouse Family, Omar, Mica Paris) on guitar, my good friend Dave Lourie on drums and myself (duh!) on aforementioned Carvin. Hope you enjoy it! https://youtu.be/OPGAkZsShs8
4. Indeed. That'll teach me to be such a grumpy old scrote.
5. Fair play from me, too. Apologies for jumping to the wrong conclusion! No offence intended.
6. Alright, not really of great importance in the scheme of things but has anybody who is foolish enough to waste most of their life on Facebook noticed these posts that Scott puts up on his page where he has a picture of some bass or amp, the name of which will be in bold letters, then a quote along the lines of "hey, anybody tried one of these, love to hear what you think..." then when loads of people reply he doesn't post a single response? Am I being cynical here or is this purely a way of generating some extra revenue through some sneaky Facebook advertising ploy?
7. Ahh!! Might be an idea for me to fully read a post before commenting! Hope you get your SB5000 and welcome to the club if you do!
8.
£800 for today only.as the other bass I want is just over £800.black friday ";-)
If you're gonna let it go for that price wouldn't you just be better off getting in touch with Bass Gear to see what they would offer trade wise? That said, I think Carvin may have discontinued the SB5000 but BG may have one or two in stock.
9. Not at all, there doesn't seem a way of saying this without it sounding wrong, but the more anal the better! Cheers!
10. Apparently, and this is just what a good friend and former owner of TWO Foderas (!) said, one thing that all that cash doesn't buy you is customer care. He said it's terrible!
11. Hi, I'm in the process of building a '58 Precision using Mighty Mite and Fender parts. Would like it to look as authentic to the original as possible and need to know what hardware was chrome and what was nickel. I know the current '58 reissues use chrome tuners and knobs but I've seen a Custom Shop reissue with what looks like aged nickel parts. Any of you history buffs able to help me out here? Cheers!
12. Well I'll be darned, it worked!! Cheers again WoT!
13. Cheers WoT, I'll give that a try. Typical, 3 year guarantee ran out 3 months ago!
14. Tried to move post from "Repairs and Technical" http://basschat.co.uk/topic/248192-promethean-distorting/#entry2591072
15. Hi all, Got a problem just developed with my Promethean P5210 combo. As of last weekend it has started distorting at all volume levels, through both 10s and both tweeters. I noticed it two gigs ago but seem to remember that the volume dropped first when I first turned amp on and had to turn it on and off to get the level right and noticed distortion problem later that night. I've tried plugging an iPod into the aux input and the distortion disappears, so obviously not a speaker problem. Tried different basses and leads and both speaker outputs to no avail. Just about to remove top panel from amp to see if there's anything obvious. I think it may still be covered by Thomann 3 year warranty but shipping back to them is a holy fanny on! Help!

17. Great! My CIJ Jazz is 20mm at the first fret! Cheers again, Paul. Order prepped, just waiting for my ppi claim cheque to clear this week then order will be in! £220 for neck and MM ash Precision body, including delivery, vat and taxes, from Musician's Friend! Cheers again, people!
18. I meant to mention in OP, how slim are they? One thing that puts me off the Allparts neck is reports of it being quite chunky, which was something I discovered with a Warmoth neck I owned. I'm looking for the same slim dimentions as on my CIJ Jazz.
19. Bluebass seems to have disappeared from eBay, unfortunately.
20. Great! You'll do for me, Paul. I think I'll get my order in! Cheers!
