In Olympic White which has gone quite creamy now. Made In Korea in the 1980's. Must be fairly early in production as it has the original earth strip from the bridge to the bridge pickup. Serial Number is: E10***** A superb bass with wonderful tone. Neck is lovely with no damage & there is no fret wear. The body has age related dings here and there and some marks, but nothing vaguely serious. The is an age related hairline crack in the finish, you can just make it out in the pics below the E & A strings. The back of the bass is unmarked. The tuners have oxidised and gone dull. She had after market pups on her but now has been returned to the standard Jazz pups. Strap locks included. Comes in a nice padded gig bag. NOW SOLD FOLKS SORRY
Heard MB and Epi together and notice it is a common alternative to MB cabs. Depends if you like the typical pillowy low mid sound of this combo. In that sense, it is almost a straight swap... but maybe the Epi could sound more rounded...?
I'm hoping so, I loved the MB cabs but just fancied a change. report to follow.

Received as trade on this very site so just trying to recoup what it owes me, plus I have bought another Ray as well in the meantime! 1995 Stingray in natural high gloss finish. 2 band EQ. Everything works as it should, included is a Gator hard case in mint condition. The bass has a few dings here and there, tip of headstock, top edge of body, 1 on the rear of the neck, none effect its playability but worth pointing out that she is a players bass. Board is fine and very little fret wear. Rear of neck is nicely played in and feels really nice. SOLD. Paypal gift or transfer at this price.

From my research these are from 1980, and are very early Bartolini pups, are copper backed and show 9VPS hand written on the back. They are Jazz pickups, a long and short standard sized and in full working order. I have included a shot of the rear to show the 3 coil solderings as opposed to the usual 2 normally seen. Folk may know more and feel free to chime up and shoot me down, but suffice to say they sound lush:) "Toward the end of 1980 we started manufacturing vertical hum canceller designs such as our 3AV acoustics, 3XV Fender Strat* replacements and 9V J-Bass* replacements. Shortly afterward we introduced the 94J, our quadraphonic for J-Basses*." [s]SOLD[/s]
