Apart from it being a global smash hit that's been played on every radio staion / supermarket / xmas compilation / TV multiple times every year for the last TWENTY EIGHT years he's only just  realised the similarity (song title only). The cynic in me thinks a lawyer somewhere has said "we'll ask for £16m but settle for £500k as it will be cheaper than her going to court" 🤣

DV27 have some in at £39....DV27 which is slightly better than your £45 to £50. I've just bought some D'Addarios from them and they were delivered in less then a week.

On a few of my basses I've used laptop screen protectors, cut to shape and not had any ill effects to the finish (they were all high gloss finishes not satin though). Also use them on the rear to stop buckle rash 😁🎸

For sale is my Bass Guitar Show weekend ticket I purchased for the 2020 show originally in Manchester. Since then the dates and venue have changed but the ticket is still valid - see link etc below.

The UK Bass Guitar Show takes place at its new home for 2022 at the amazing ACC Liverpool on the 2nd & 3rd of April 2022. This two day event is a dedicated show to champion, promote and support the fantastic community that is bass players!

We will have a gear hall packed with all your favourite low-end products, including launches and artist performances.

The UK Bass Guitar Show will take place simultaenously over the weekend of the 2 & 3rd of April along side fellow rhythm section event, The UK Drum Show.

For sale or trade are my pair of Nexo LS400 Speakers (subs). Nexo speakers are high quality, professional, versatile, solidly built and mine have been totally reliable and not been driven hard. Many big venues and touring acts use Nexo kit so it's highly likely you will have heard this type of equipment in action even if you don't realise it.

When I bought these I was looking for gear which was light, quality and able to go loud 🙂.....and these do!  They have some slight marks on them from handling but are in excellent working order and come with a pair of custom made Falcon padded covers. You can buy these speakers new (Example Link) and they will cost you nearly £1,000 EACH 😮 One of the photos includes one of my EV SX300 speakers for size comparison to show just how compact these are!

I've attached the datasheet which contains all the specs. My feedback link contains many comments on how well I take care of my gear and this is no exception. Price is for both speakers and covers. Shipping extra. Any questions, just ask 🙂

For sale or trade are my Electrovoice SX300 PA Speakers. They're great speakers and have been the staple of bands for decades. Light and loud 🙂 These have speakon connections (older versions are xlr) and have not been driven hard. That mail was from 2018......Fodera may now see a gap in the market and have OK'd new production? Best drop them a line to check. As others have said they are pretty good at responding.

They MAY be legit. Fodera themselves responded to a TalkBass thread in 2018 (post #11) - Talkbass - Fodera?

Well it took me a bit longer than the "few days" but I've managed to get some examples recorded and into Dropbox. I'll start with applying the usual excuses and apologising for the playing / timing / rushing / wrong notes etc. etc. 🤣

As I'm not currently set up to record direct into a DAW I've had to compromise a bit. The signal chain was bass into Demeter amp via the Smoothound wireless. Amp set flat and played out through a Berg CN212. Backing music from my computer played on Presonus Eris 8 speakers. All of this was then recorded on my Samsung Note. No post processing with the exception of the captions in Movie Maker. It may not be the most accurate of reproductions but you can get the idea of some of the tones available.

Speaking of tones... there's gazzilions of options with the Pope / Seymour Duncan / switching so I decided to initially show the difference just from the pickups (rear / both / front) and then add in parallel / series......all with the tone flat. The last recording I did was to show the preamp range from twangiest to bassiest settings.

Ah Powersoft! Absolutley solid peices of kit. I have a couple which will be finding their way to the for sale section as soon as I get my act together (and at a fraction of that new price 😉🙂 )

Had several flavours of racked gear over the years (currently using racked amps with built in eq so they don't count 🙂 ) Here's some of the earlier versions where I've used a seperate pre into other power amp stages.
