1. I know its not 35'' scale but woud you be interested in a trade of a Warwick Thumb 5 neck-through?
2. For sale is my Warwick Streamer Stage 1 4 string. I bought this about a year ago from a fellow Basschatter. 1992 model. In good condition considering its age - a few marks on the body just above the pickups and on the back. Small mark on the neck on the bass side near the 4th fret. Brass JAN1, 2 band eq and the jack socket was professionally replaced by the last owner just before I purchased it (original and recept included with sale). I had to replace one of the nuts which holds the pickup screws in place under the P pickup as this popped out when I lowered the pickup after buying - this is slightly bigger than the old version and so fits tighter, no problems since. The remaining new nuts and screws will also be included with sale. Also comes with Dunlop straplocks and a softcase. Looking for £900 or offers around there. Money from sale is going towards a brand new Sandberg so no trades unfortunately, unless its a very cheap (ie approx £300) fretless or a 5 string SS1/2 with a slim neck (pre 98). Cash on collection preferred or bank transfer/cheque with bass shipped once the funds have cleared. UK only. I live in Nottinghamshire and would be willing to meet within a reasonable distance (also willing to post). I also work in Leeds so could potentially meet near there aswell. 5.
Can you pm me? My email is faulty, I want to make an offer.
Replied.
6. For sale is my Warwick Bubinga Corvette 6 string. I bought this new in March 2008 but don't really use it anymore or need the high C string (after many years as my main bass in a previous band). In very good condition - it has a few tiny scratches on the back which you have to look for to find and a tiny chip on the end of the headstock. 2 band eq - bass and treble. The washer for the d-string tuner is a little loose and rattles slightly when the bass is unplugged and you dig into the strings a little when playing but is unheard when through an amp. Tuning is unaffected by this. Dunlop straplocks included. Looking for £750. Trade wise - ideally looking for a Warwick SS1 4 or 5 (with broadneck) without the chunky D profile neck they made from about 1999-2010. No jazz basses please (although a p/j is ok). Any sort of precison/stingray type or quite 'modern' - think the Warwick $$. Would prefer something of about equal value but I can add around £200 for the right bass - let me know what you have UK only. I live in Nottinghamshire and would be willing to meet within a reasonable distance (also willing to post). I also work in Leeds so could potentially meet near there aswell. 7. For sale is my Warwick Thumb neck-through 5 string from 1999. In pretty much perfect condition - a few tiny scratches on the back which you really have to look for to find. 3 band eq with 18v preamp. Since buying i've also installed a JAN3 to replace the JAN2 (I still have the old nut however and will send this with the bass). Also comes with recessed Dunlop straplocks. Looking for £1100. Money from sale is going towards a brand new Sandberg so trades - a very cheap (ie approx £300) fretless or possibly another 5 (let me know what you have). UK only. I live in Nottinghamshire and would be willing to meet within a reasonable distance (also willing to post). I also work in Leeds so could potentially meet near there aswell. 8. Hi guys, i'm currently looking to change my rig but having a bit of a tough time deciding what to do. At the minute I have a Trace Elliot AH500 with matching 2x10 and 4x10 cabs (all the newer ones since Peavey stepped in a few years ago) and my main bass is a Warwick Thumb 5. I've joined a function/wedding band in the last year and so i'm playing much bigger venues to the pubs and social clubs I used to do. The Trace sounds ok but i'm finding that when I push it it's not got enough bottom end and fullness, especially in the higher registers and with any of my basses (Warwick SS1 and Bubinga Corvette), it's not just the Thumb which sounds thin. I'm looking for the trademark Thumb sound - low mid growl, fairly bassy but still able to cut through 2 guitarists and a loud drummer. The eq on my Trace is: +3db at 100hz, 500 hz and 1khz; +6db at 250hz; everything else flat; compressor set at 45-50%. This sounds fine at low-medium volumes but loses the bottom end when turned up to be heard over the rest of the band. As a band we try and push the backline as much as we can without drowning out the drummer and feed vocals and small amounts of whatever else is needed through the pa (plus i've never really liked the sound I get from a pa, I tend to lose my tone and it ends up to smooth and round which is not what i'm looking for). I recently tried an Ashdown BTA 300 through a 4x10 Ashdown cab (I think it was the ABM series) and pretty much nailed the tone I was looking for and I was seriously considering getting the amp. However this was in a small practice room in the shop and I likely wont have chance to try the amp out on a gig before buying to see if its really as good as I think. So, after all that, my options are: Ashdown BTA with 2 4x10 cabs; Ashdown BTA with some sort of Barefaced cab; Keep the Trace head and get a Barefaced cab: Any other options you guys can suggest. Thanks and sorry for the wall of text
9. Interested in any trades or looking for a straight sale? Also where are you located?
10. Quick final bump before it goes on Ebay.
11. Warwick Corvette $$ 5-string bass. 3 /12 years old, rarely used. Serial number - M 140286 07. Looking for £600. There are some small nicks and scratches on the body but nothing that affects playability. Also bridge pickup switch to change from series/parallel/humcancelling is very slightly bent but works (simply requires you to angle the switch slightly to the bridge to get it to click fully into place if wanting to run in parallel) Comes with gig bag, user kit (no trussrod tool but everything else included), good leather strap and straplocks. See http://www.warwickbass.com/modules/produkt...22016&cl=EN for manufacturer's description. Cash on collection only. Not looking for trades at present. Willing to meet buyer part way. Any questions or if you wish to view before buying simply pm me.
