  1. Certainly use my thumb and fingers for damping on some basses more than others and especially at high volume. Tend to rest thumb on E string, and when playing E string use thumb................ Maybe check out Anthony Wellington at The Aguilar Loft Series.............. Regards, Paul.
  2. Can anyone tell me about this bass, played by John Poole of Lifesigns. Clearly the headstock says Squire Precision. It has p/j pick up configuration. Some of the sounds he got out of it last night were amazing. Sounded very much like a Ric at points. Were these standard issue or do you think it a bit of a custom job. Any comments would be welcome. Regards, Paul. [attachment=167910:Squire Precision.jpg]
  3. Yes one does have to be extremely careful with courier insurance. You need replacement value insurance which only a few carriers offer. Worth reading all the small print! GLWTS, regards, Paul.

  7. Nice bass Wilko, there seems to be plenty of love for these Classic Stingrays but not much cash. Thinking of withdrawing mine rather than devaluing the Classic Stingray market! Good luck with your sale. Regards, Paul.
  8. Parcelforce tend not to compensate properly for damaged in transit instruments...... worth checking: http://www.parcelforce.com/help-information/compensation-refunds-and-claims/items-we-exclude-compensation Some other carriers are much better at this. Regards, Paul.

  13. It isn't just buying and selling.....its life! Charlie Watts was being interviewed on The Stones' 20th Anniversary as a band, and the interview asked him: "Charlie what's it been like playing drums in the Rolling Stones for the last 20 years?" Charlie replies: "Well its been like playing drums for a year and hanging around waiting for people for 19 years." Regards and plenty of patience, Paul.
