1. Cheers dood. That will be problem but I think it will look best simple and dark.
2. Well when I do comission it I'll ask to see what he has then decide.
3. Cheers Chris, I've emailed him about this and got preliminary quote. So I have a target for saving up. A clear satin lacquer over mahogany or walnut. Ebony fretboard and maple neck. Where the fun in giving all the details at once?
4. A 5 string jag with coil tapped humbuckers rear routing 36inch scale. Cheers dood. Should be up that way in a couple of weeks. Will drop a pm when I know dates.
5. As the title really. Are there any shuker ownerswithin an hours ride of cambridge that I can steal a play of thier shuker bass from?
6. Just bought a rack tuner from BT! Good bloke to deal with. Cheers mate.

8. Just got email from gig gear and one of the featured items in it was an n-tune. from what I can see it couldn't really be seen whilest playing standing up. ntune. What do the good people of basschat land think?
9. So nobody has disagreed with the puny part yet? hmmmm
10.
there are few of people, who really enjoy this stuff.. im really glad you enjoyed it 51
My dad loves stuff like this. Gets most of his from Ginger Tony's Jumpstart program on a Saturday morining from solar. Where do you find tracks like this?
11.
Same. Im not too good. This is my attempt at routing some pickup routes. However, if shockwave is good with a router or chisel, it should be no problem.
Thats better than my attempt.
12.
Well, if altering the instrument is an option, route out a hole for the bridge. Like this, but not as big, just enough so the bridge plate is level with the body.
Yeah that went a tad pear shaped. Mainly because I'm cack-handed when it comes to straight lines with a router, and very slightly because the wood wasn't very good. But aside from that it worked very well.
13. Sold some trubass strings to Benebass. Good communication, quick payment and a nice bloke.
14. If the shafts from the pot are split then just stick a flat bladed screw driver init till it seperates enough to hold the knob on, do it gently though as you'll need some pliers to squeeze the top back in a bit if you go to far. If its a solid shaft then you need to tight the grub screw in the knob or get some knobs with grubs screws.
15. Ah didn't know they were sold as deluxe before. And fender should definatley have black as a finish option. I've .ever been a fan of white basses
16.
I don't think they've ever been discontinued, just not imported into the UK for a while. I believe they continued to be available in the USA, but the exchange rate scuppered them for this market. Any idea whether the red one with the matching headstock is going to be imported again?
Jaguars vanished from the fender site for a couple of years but now they are back on it listed as a Deluxe version so I'm guessing they were discontinued and are now back in production with a different spec. I believe the older jags were all Japanese? Mine is. Ye gods I need to learn how to spell again.
17. There is the fact that some of the sales people will be working just for the money and have only a vague interest in what they are selling. And also that they are being paid a very low wage, so there is a lack of motivation.
18. No worries mate. I am surprised they wouldn't be robust enough, I've had dub step, reggae, drum'n'bass, electronica, soul and loads of other genres through the speakers and high volumes. Surely they can take the signal from one instrument if they can take that?
In that case go for it! I thought you were intending to use to play your guitar through. Its usually the quickest way to fook a hifi! Just my opinion, nothing personal
19. how is it not robust enough? Bearing in mind it would never be gigged. Just a technical exercise really to improve my woeful wood work skills.
Dont bother mate. It will only last five minutes, its not robust enough for use with a guitar. Dont bother with Ebay, stick it on gumtree, it will go!
20. 4 6x9 speakers and a 4 channel 600 watt amp from my old car? As I have been unable to sell these since I got back on two wheels I thought I'd see if its possible to something with them. I know I'd need to get a transformer to handle powering the amp, or get a battery and have it on constant charge. All insults, advice (helpful and preposterous) welcomed.
21. Bought a Rack case. Goods communication pleasure to deal with. Cheers mate
