  1. That was good fun. Private party in a big old shed, a new one with insulation in the walls/celiings so not quite the echo chamber that some sheds I've played in were. The organisers had prepared well - we even had a large, homemade stage to play on! We got fed and watered and it was a good gig - a small but enthusiastic cohort of dancers, a lot of people stayed outside and listened until later on because it was a warm, dry evening but we got lots of nice comments from people and a decent pay too, more than our usual fee. A worthwhile endeavour. Team G&L FTW (CLF L-1000, with Tribute LB-100 lurking in its gigbag behind)
  2. Hey horse, you WILL drink this water I have led you to.
  3. This question always goes tribal in the end.
  4. I've only recently started taking two, so no, not needed yet, or ever thus far. Figured that after about 15 years I had chanced my arm long enough.
  5. For the longest time, one. I've recently started taking two when I can be bothered, but the second one is in its case/bag lurking in the shadows as it is strictly the understudy in case anything goes wrong. I'm not changing basses part way through a show - it's just rock covers (or original tunes no-one gives a monkeys about) - who is this jumped up so-and-so? Oh look, he's changed bass. Yup, still sounds him, playing a bass.
  6. Because his signature is a bit ambiguous, the rest of my band refer to my JC Signature (and me by extension when I wield it) as "Slack Casady". Funny guys
  7. No-one is going to care - take whichever one you feel most comfortable with.
  8. Have a bump from a fellow Reverend owner. These are great basses if you're looking for something a little different, but still a fantastic sounding, well put together instrument.
  9. I'm in a no hit wonder band, if that helps?
  10. Or me, you cheeky bas! Edit: oh wait, I forgot, no-one wants to hear our songs regardless of who wrote them. Now I'm sad.
  11. 20 dwindled down to 3 by the end. Bar staff so keen to get the place closed that they helped us load out. What an odd night, grateful for the 3 who stuck around to the bitter end but have to chalk this one down as a bit of a bust. Oh well, private birthday party next weekend, I hope the birthday boy has lots of friends. We'll even accept casual acquaintances!
  12. I think the whole point of the "Paranormal" series is to create instruments that could have been, but hitherto have not existed. As in "spooky, I dreamed about a bass like that" type of thing...
  13. No, all my basses are used interchangably at home, in rehearsals and at gigs with wild abandon and lack of consideration for the sonic consequences.
  14. Oh! What I'd give to be spat-at-in-the-face have the rehearsal room hoovered once in decade
  15. There's absolutely no way in hell I'd play barefoot on some of the stages I've stood on 🤢
  16. Traded a Guild B-402A for a G&L El Toro. I have neither now, I miss the Guild and I don't miss the El Toro ergo it was a mistake. The B-402A is rare as hell. Damn.
  17. Reason I ask is, you pointed it out - the L-2000 is the obvious choice for nailing the L-2500 sound in a 4 string, but the Tribute L-2000 has a neck like a half baseball bat (at least mine did). If you went USA L-2000, it can be specced with a Jazzy neck if you prefer. Quite a few people went for that, so if you could snag a USA L-2000 second hand, it might have a more Jazzy neck. The Kiloton will give you some of the L-2500's bridge pickup sounds, but there's no line boost, no treble boost. On the other hand, it has single coil mode which a stock L-2500 won't have.
  18. You don't mention if it's Tribute or USA you're talking.
  19. Just imagine the doge picture is in the background, CBA doing it, posting on the phone. SO MANY RED SKULLS SO FEARSUM BLAK HARDWARE SO METUL
