1. Hi guys, I hope this is the right forum for this. I just published an Android app which trains relative pitch recognition. It is inspired by Joe Hubbard's article http://www.joehubbar...3/ear-training/ Google Play link to the app. Any feedback is welcome.

3. Hi guys, I have got ACG EQ03 for sale. It is an extremely versatile preamp. It used to be a flagship preamp of ACG basses. Each pickup has an individual low pass filter, each with variable cut-off frequency and volume boost at the cut-off frequency. Other two potentiometers are volume/blend and high pass blend. More info can be found at http://www.acguitars...df/ACG_EQ03.pdf Requires no soldering. SOLD [s]£190 £160 posted within the UK.[/s]

5. Eugen, looking forward to hear it as well. Glad to see some Slovakians here
6.
Not sure what is happening with their business model.
As far as I could read the main reason for not taking orders is that he had some health issues exactly at the time when he released Subterranea. So his order backlog has grown up.
7.
Thanks for the info thats useful, if I can continue using WASAPI and reducing glitches that seems like a better option. I wonder if maybe knocking wireless antenna off whilst recording could help, as I have it on always.
I used that latency monitoring app on my PC. Bluetooth drivers were the major cause of glitches so I completely uninstalled them as I don't use Bluetooth. Also, bear in mind that you have to disable drivers in the Device Manager. Just disconnecting from a wifi net is not enough. The smaller the buffer and hence the latency, the more often an audio driver has to reach for that buffer and process it. This is kind of serialised activity in the context of all drivers. So if there is a driver like the Bluetooth one which takes too much time doing its own stuff, the audio driver does not get to process its buffer and you get sound cracks, glitches, etc ... . That latency monitoring app reports these kind of situations along with driver names. It is very useful. There is another whole story going on about IRQ (hardware interrupt handlers) sharing. Let's not get into that. Just disable hardware interfaces you don't use at all like a serial port, FireWire, ancient phone modem interface, etc ... . WASAPI is great. It is an audio API which directly talks to audio hardware. There are no middle men in that communication and that is why it is fast. I am not sure whether it works for USB devices at all, but it is not working for me. However, I sold my USB interfaces as soon as I found out I can use it with the integrated audio card line-in. I get about 2ms latency which is amazing given the price. It sounds good enough to my ears as long as I use a line driver pedal (SFX Boost). I use this setup for practicing the bass with headphones plugged in. My upstairs neighbors don't knock on the floor at 11PM anymore
8. In my experience you won't get USB latency below 5ms unless you are willing to spend money on some RME USB device http://www.rme-audio.de/ They do their own USB chips to get a really low latency but they charge for their products a lot. I have been using WASAPI and line-in as well and it works for me. Though, PC notebooks are nightmare for a low latency audio because of all the manufacture's drivers installed on them. Power management, Wifi, Bluetooth, etc. Try running this latency monitor http://www.thesycon....ncy_check.shtml It should tell you which driver causes glitches. You can also give a go to Echo Indigo IOX http://www.amazon.co...e/dp/B001TNXUFE but it is a hit or miss apparently. I have one and the latency is quite low, about 2ms (reported by Reaper) but the input is noisy. Also, don't forget to use a line driver pedal. Don't plug your bass directly to line-in.
9.
if I end up making a loss I just see it as a rental fee in return for me getting to play with new toys all the time!
I should not have read this, now I have an excuse!
10. Pics added, some more info about pickups, weight and delivery. Apologies for the porn
11.
Lovely bass. What is the string spacing?...and are you looking to trade at all?
Thanks. The string spacing is 16mm but it does not feel cramped at the nut. The spacing can be slightly adjusted on the bridge. As to trades I can be tempted by ACG but other than that I am after the cash. Thanks for nice comments guys. I feel bad for ziggy though Not sure if I should upload more pictures. Seems like I am torturing the guy
12. I used to own Wahoo. Great filter, especially if coupled with its PC software. I actually learned how wah filters work thanks to it. You can see how it tracks in realtime. By default it is a bit bright even with bass presets but that can be easily fixed. I would use the second filter all the time. With slightly different settings to the first one and mix 50/50% you get very nice 'wet' wah. Bump
13. Hi guys, SOLD Up for grabs this wicked headless bass. It is a piece of history made probably somewhere around 1998. As much as I would like to keep it, I can't reasonably justify having it. I bought it off ebay and it was well worn. I took it to the bass gallery to give it a bit of tender love and care. It was refinished and it now looks amazing! Preamp was also swapped out for ACG EQ 02 which makes this bass mind-bogglingly versatile instrument. Some specs: 34 inch scale, 16mm spacing but can be slightly adjusted at the bridge. 53mm at the zero fret. 7 piece neck - wenge and maple, 24 frets macassar ebony fingerboard 5 piece body, ash body, walnut veneer front and back, gloss finish, high figure facings. Kent Armstrong pickups (singles I believe) with coil tap/phase switches on each. I don't have a weight scale but it is the lightest bass I came across. I can be tempted for a trade with ACG. Other than that I am after the cash. I can post it in a Hiscox case but I would prefer if a new owner sees it in flesh before buying. I am in London. This picture was taken before the re-finish. I will post more pictures later on. Photos taken after the re-finish: I just realised I forgot to screw back the bridge pickup screw. Silly me.
14.
That bass looks very subtle but I bet it roars with those pickups
I strung it with Chromes for awhile and they sounded nowhere near to what I am used to Attack is really fast on this bass.
15. I thought I could use a bit of the odd morning sunshine

Brain bought a green bullet microphone off me. Pleasure to deal with.
17. Hi guys, I have for sale this harmonica microphone, can be used for "lo-fi vocals". It is virtually mint, no scratches etc. [s]Price £90 inc P&P within the UK.[/s] SOLD Here is more information from the manufacturer's page, youtube video and pics: The 520DX features a volume control knob at the base of the microphone that allows users to make adjustments to suit their needs during live performance. An attached cable with a standard 1/4-inch plug allows the microphone to be connected to a high-impedance device. What is this microphone best suited to? The Shure 520DX has predominately been used for the harmonica, but can also be used for distinct, lo-fi vocals.
