1. Mark bought my VFE compressor. Great communication, smooth deal.
2. Hi guys, I am selling my pedals. I am moving places and I need to free up some cash. Otherwise, I wouldn't have been selling them at all. SFX Loop Mixer [s]£105[/s] £95 posted within the UK I bought it here on basschat. It has two loops, each with a volume knob. Loop combinations can be: only first loop, only second loop, both loop on. It does not have a true bybass, so it can be used as a signal buffer as well. Switching is comfortably done by footswitches. SOLD [s]Source Audio OFD £120[/s][s]Source Audio OFD £120 posted within the UK[/s] Great digital overdrive / distortion / fuzz. It has a noise gate which can also be used with a clean signal. Sales pitch: The Soundblox 2 OFD Bass microModeler packs a comprehensive, low-end enhanced collection of new and vintage overdrive, fuzz, and distortion tones into a single stage-ready stompbox perfect for bassists of all genres. Each effect has been meticulously crafted to provide precise and naturally responsive tones, from warm and thumping tube overdrive to bass-in-your-face fuzz. VFE Woodchipper [s]£100[/s] £90 posted within the UK VFE pedals are hidden gems in my humble opinion. Woodchipper is a VFE's take on B:assmaster. Can be really brutal, hence the 'Woodchipper' name. The footswitch can be optionally configured as momentary. It doesn't lose any bottom. VFE Fiery Horse [s]£100[/s] £90 posted within the UK Fiery Horse is very versatile fuzz. I am sure that I will get another one later on. What I like about it is that it keeps the original character of the signal even when it is cranked up. 'Comp' knob blends between two different clipping configurations. 'Power' emulates dying battery. The footswitch can be optionally configured as momentary. It doesn't lose any bottom.
3.
Great to hear about the update, looking forward to it - so awesome to be able to chat directly with an app developer
Thanks.
How are you getting on with the Ran Blake book btw?
I've had it since last week but I haven't managed to peek into it. I have too much on my plate at the moment but I like the idea of having more than one methodology implemented in the application.
4. I have had both but I have only kept OFD. While B3K is great at what it does, it is just one trick pony. OFD sounds even better if you can eq midrange (300-600Hz) into it. A slight boost in that range makes it sound great. Also, some mild JFET overdrive or over-driven tube amp after it in the chain brings nice details. Don't get me wrong, it sounds great on its own, it is just that I like to fiddle with things Another nice feature is that the noise gate can also be used with a clean signal only. But it is true you won't get that B3K tone.
5.
I would make it 12P2 (selecting two notes from the 12 possible) = 132 different sounds.
I just noticed that you must know a bit about math Anyway, I am going to release this feature hopefully in one week time.
6. @flippyflop I forgot to add that this is really great, small, insanely powerful, transparent amp. It can for sure do hi-fi sound.
7. With a heavy heart I am putting my USA bolt-on Spector up for sale. It is a sublime beauty. It has an exotic buckeye burl top which costs additional $799 according to the current price list. Neck: 3-Piece Rock Maple Carbon Fiber Reinforced Bolt-On Neck Construction 24 frets, 34", 16" radius Fingerboard: Pau Ferro (Bolivian Rosewood) Premium. It does not need any maintenance. It has been specially treated and fingerboard oil does not soak in. Solid lightweight mahogany Body with premium buckeye burl. EMG® 35CS-TW™ neck and EMG® MMTW pickups with Aguilar® OBP-3 Tone Circuit™. Each pickup is switchable (single, humbucker) just by pulling a volume knob and this bass can do all of jazz, MM and P/J sounds. I am the first owner and the bass was bought from Bass Direct. Comes with a Spector hard case. I prefer a local pickup so that a buyer can see it in the flesh but I can post it within the UK as well. £1500 posted within the UK. 8. I am selling my VFE White Horse compressor. It is incredibly versatile pedal. It has big blend, sustain, level knobs and smaller response, bass and drive knobs. Drive knob is a blend between optical compression and MOSFET overdrive. Bass knob affects signal before compression. It goes down to 20hz and it does not affect clean signal of the blend knob. Review on ovnilab website : http://www.ovnilab.c...ews/horse.shtml [s]£80 posted within the UK[/s] SOLD
9. Hi, I am selling my Tecamp Puma 900. I bought it here on basschat. The original ad can be found here. It is a version without a fan so it is good for practicing at home as well. It comes with the original box and amp bag. Well, given its dimensions, it more like a handbag 4 band EQ. Easy to deal with boomy rooms. Taste knob, can go from P bass to thin sound. SOLD [s]£500 posted within the UK.[/s]
10. Bump for this tricky pedal. It really livens up overdrives, distortions, fuzzes when they run into this preamp and then into an amp. The tone control is very versatile. Can do wonders with digital dirts like Soundblox Bass distortions.
11.
Is this an actual BDPG or a clone?
It is a genuine BDPG. I got it without any painting for quicker delivery. You have to wait about a month or so if you want it painted.
12. Price drop and bump. No one in a need of a booster?
13. Basscentral.com has a few different colour combinations http://www.basscentral.com/spector/euro_th.shtml
14. Up for grabs is the Fuzzrocious Broke Dick Peanut Gallery. It is a dirty preamp. Sounds great with an overdrive or distortion in front of it. Original sales pitch: With a pregain/drive section (left knob), the user can go from a touch of drive to a full-bore doomy grind. The volume knob (middle) regulates your volume, duh. The tone knob (right) dials in your tone with a tone stack picked by me for the "best" sound. The tone section is capable of pulling dubby/reggae/no treble tones fully clockwise, nasty metal/grind tone fully counter-clockwise, and everything else in between making for one VERSATILE preamp. It even sounds great with a dirt/boost in front of it! [s]£90[/s] £70 posted within the UK
15. I sold a pedal to Harry. Great communication, I would not hesitate to do a deal again.
