  1. Looks to me as if they've incorporated everything I could ask for in terms of functionality.

My only issue with multi effects (except for Zoom) is poor octave up sound and no bass synths.

However I can testify everything else about Hotone Stomp is superb

  2. Saw Larkin Poe in Bristol last night. First gig on the British leg of their never ending world tour.

    An utterly exceptional band this.

Only gig I've ever been to and not focused wholly upon the bass player.

The guitar playing, the guitar sounds, and the vocal harmonies were absolutely top drawer, and the lead singer has quite simply the best voice I've ever been in a room with.

    A spell binding gig.

I wonder if attitudes to it would be different if they had put it in a metal case.

Well maybe who knows? All I know is there are few better envelope filter, distortion, synth and preamp sounds on the market right now

  4. Didn't have time to build a pedal board for last night's gig so I bunged four effects together on a patch on my B6 and legged it out of the house.

Every time I have gigged this pedal the sounds from it have been superb. Yesterday was no exception.

I believe it's the most underrated of all the multi effects. Underrated by me of course. Except now it isn't because I'm rating it. Highly.

  5. The 'Stew needs to raise money to cover his impulsive inability to not buy stuff sale' starts here.

This pretty much does it all. High or low gain switch, 4 different strengths of overdrive, drive intensity, clean and drive levels separately controlled, and tone sculpting filters.

No box, velcro on base, free postage.

  6. What an extraordinary day out that was.

Thank you to Mike and the Scrumpettes. You continue to build on the success of previous years. Wonderful. Enjoyed meeting you all so much, and missed those who couldn't be with us.

I confirmed my reputation as a soft touch where buying basses is concerned - as @Kateplaysbass put it - "don't ever play poker Stew". It was apparently obvious to others that I was going to cave in long before I had admitted it to myself.

  7. Bandeoke in Bristol last night. Wet night, bar staff said they'd been dead for the week - didn't auger well.

However we ended up fighting them off with the proverbial soiled stick.

The owner is talking about increasing our residency from monthly to fortnightly. I count this as a success.

Finished adding support for 1 Series (G1/B1ON/XON, custom firmware or not) and G Series (G3/G3X/B3, these can't be customized). So far tested with models MS50G, MS60B, MS70CDR, B3, G1XON and B1XON.

Should work with G3/G3X/G1ON/B1ON too but I haven't tested them yet. Will test G3 when I get mine back in some days and I think I also have access to a B1ON from a friend (that could allow for G1ON testing too, with a firmware swap on Zoom Effect Manager).

    ZOOMIDO-UTILS

Just a backup/restore/organize tool for your G/MS/1 series patches, no matter if your firmware is custom/hacked or not.

    Thank you so much
