Christmas isn't just about other people. There's more to life than treating your loved ones to yet more needless tat. This holiday season, why not surprise and delight the bass player in your life -- you.
It turns out I've accumulated way too many Fender Jazz Basses, so in the festive spirit of goodwill to all people I'm selling some.

This is a very shiny and well constructed 1960s-look bass with the usual period features. Beautiful Olympic White with a dark rosewood board and tort guard. Built 2011 I believe, the only non-original parts are the pickups, which again are EMG JVs (gotta love the vintage growly noise they make). It has a ridiculously smooth low action after a proper fret-stoning. The only blemish is on the rear, where the neck screws have gone in a bit too far, leaving the backplate a little bent and the surrounding finish cracked. You can see this in the pics. Otherwise this is a shiny, fast Jazz at what I believe to be a bargainacious price.

Well tasty block-and-bound neck and colour-matched headstock. Sounds delicious with a nice woody tone. Slightly deeper neck for all you vintage profile freaks. Immaculate and 100% original (apart from the strings). Cost a grand new and no longer made. [s]Just to prove wrong those who reckon nothing good comes out of Fender Mexico, this is a shockingly well made and finished bass guitar. It's one of a special short run in love-or-loathe late 1970s 'Antigua' finish (smokeburst to lovers, snotburst to the other lot). Has the 1970s bridge pickup positioning, logo and 'bullet' truss rod tip. This has upgraded pups (EMG JV series, very hard to obtain these days, designed to give modern noiseless performance and reduce the harsh edges while retaining plenty of traditional Jazz Bass growl). The original pickups are still available if you want to put them back, but you don't, do you? I'll buy back the EMGs if you do. There's barely a mark on it -- you can see a light groove where a high-mass bridge was formerly fitted, otherwise a few finger marks is it.[/s]
General stuff
All basses are in Hove and collection is welcome. Apologies to overseas members but I'll only post within the UK. I'm looking for cash rather than trades, though of course your offers of Foderas etc are welcome. Never say never, anyway. I'm unlikely to drop the price at any point, as I'm selling to pay off another purchase and don't particularly want to offload, even if I do have an alarming number of cheap(er) Jazz Basses.
Ask me stuff, anyway.
