1. No love for beautiful Antigua? Not many around, you knows ...
2.
haha sorry i just checked and hove is right next to brighton (im in belgium but i have friends living in brighton) so ignore that question
No worries At the moment its set very low, probably needs a winter tweak to keep things rattle-free. It's strung with 40-95s so you would probably want to set things up to your liking. These just came in a box but I'm including a padded Fender gig bag in the price. Hope it helps.
3. Christmas isn't just about other people. There's more to life than treating your loved ones to yet more needless tat. This holiday season, why not surprise and delight the bass player in your life -- you. It turns out I've accumulated way too many Fender Jazz Basses, so in the festive spirit of goodwill to all people I'm selling some. Fender Classic 1960s Jazz Bass (Mexico), OW £450 plus postage More pics: https://www.dropbox....O1WJDj7IPa?dl=0 This is a very shiny and well constructed 1960s-look bass with the usual period features. Beautiful Olympic White with a dark rosewood board and tort guard. Built 2011 I believe, the only non-original parts are the pickups, which again are EMG JVs (gotta love the vintage growly noise they make). It has a ridiculously smooth low action after a proper fret-stoning. The only blemish is on the rear, where the neck screws have gone in a bit too far, leaving the backplate a little bent and the surrounding finish cracked. You can see this in the pics. Otherwise this is a shiny, fast Jazz at what I believe to be a bargainacious price. [s]Fender Japan JB66B FSR 2013 ('1966 reissue') in Vintage White[/s] Sold [s]More pics: http://s326.photobuc...e101/slideshow/ Well tasty block-and-bound neck and colour-matched headstock. Sounds delicious with a nice woody tone. Slightly deeper neck for all you vintage profile freaks. Immaculate and 100% original (apart from the strings). Cost a grand new and no longer made. More details here[/s] [s]Fender Antigua FSR 2012 Jazz Bass (1970s reissue)[/s] Sold [s][/s] More pics: https://www.dropbox....qKA8WNfyKa?dl=0 [s]Just to prove wrong those who reckon nothing good comes out of Fender Mexico, this is a shockingly well made and finished bass guitar. It's one of a special short run in love-or-loathe late 1970s 'Antigua' finish (smokeburst to lovers, snotburst to the other lot). Has the 1970s bridge pickup positioning, logo and 'bullet' truss rod tip. This has upgraded pups (EMG JV series, very hard to obtain these days, designed to give modern noiseless performance and reduce the harsh edges while retaining plenty of traditional Jazz Bass growl). The original pickups are still available if you want to put them back, but you don't, do you? I'll buy back the EMGs if you do. There's barely a mark on it -- you can see a light groove where a high-mass bridge was formerly fitted, otherwise a few finger marks is it.[/s] General stuff All basses are in Hove and collection is welcome. Apologies to overseas members but I'll only post within the UK. I'm looking for cash rather than trades, though of course your offers of Foderas etc are welcome. Never say never, anyway. I'm unlikely to drop the price at any point, as I'm selling to pay off another purchase and don't particularly want to offload, even if I do have an alarming number of cheap(er) Jazz Basses. Ask me stuff, anyway.
4. For sale are a pair of Fender Jazz Bass pickups whipped out of a 2012 Antigua FSR Jazz Bass (MiM). I can think of nothing whatsoever to say about them, other than they are whatever Fender Ensenada puts in its regular JBs, and that the green tape shown in the pix is just to keep the pups together with the covers and can, of course, be removed. Twenty squids plus postage sounds about right to me. They're in Hove if you want to nip round. 5. Bought a Warwick bass from Ben which turned out to be exactly as described and better packaged than anything I've ordered from big retailers. A very helpful and straightforward bloke to deal with too.
6.
I have one of these also and they are simply amazing. Super rare and sounds incredible. I will never sell mine. Good luck with your sale.
Thanks May be coming to the same conclusion
7. Sorry for the huge delay in replying-- love the old Squiers and not a day goes by I don't regret selling mine for £100 in 1987. But my P-bass needs are all met and the wolf is quite literally at the door, so must decline. Thanks for your interest tho and good luck with the sale
http://basschat.co.uk/topic/266048-fsft-japanese-fender-squire-sq-83-84-p-bass/ Any interest in this?
8. GAK's demo video of this model. https://www.youtube....h?v=vdwcIz7BVYY Remind me why I'm selling? Oh yeah, skint. (any advice on how to embed that vid?)
9. Still a few available in Japan: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fender-Japan-66-reissue-MIJ-Jazz-Bass-JB66B-VINTAGE-WHITE-MATCHING-HEAD-/121686783365?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1c5518f585
10.
hi, no shipment to italy then?
Thanks for your interest -- I'm really sorry I just can't face the logistics, expense and general stress of posting large, valuable stuff overseas. Hope that's understandable.
11. ⬆️ (Small error: colour is 'Vintage White' which is possibly slightly creamier than the usual Olympic. Or possibly not. B*****ed if I can tell the difference.)
12. Ah well, thanks for your interest. Should point out to anyone else pondering the vast distance between themselves and this bass, that Brighton is lovely at this time of year
13. Sold this gentleman a Bass POD and 'twas a pleasure doing business. Straightforward and trouble-free deal. I'd happily deal with Bassninja again.
