1. I was wondering about this and thought I would ask... Why is the ampeg 1x15 (Svt-15e or b-115e) only able to handle 200 watts at 8 ohms? It just seems ridiculously low, and after looking at the specs for ampeg heads, I can't find any of their amps that would be able to be used with just a 1x15 at 8 ohms and not be too much power for their 1x15 or even any that would be fine at 4 ohms with 2 of their 1x15's! As far as I understand, a lot of them mean that I couldn't even combine a 410 and 115 as at 4 ohms, most amps would still be giving it more than 200 watts?! Is it just me that finds this silly, or have I got something wrong? Eg, if like I do, I have 2 1x15 8 ohm ampeg cabs, the list of their amps that I CAN'T use is - B2RE, SVT 3 pro, SVT 4 pro, SVT 7 pro, SVT 8 pro, SVT CL, SVT 450h etc etc... If I am wrong, please site right, but as far as I can read it, I for example, couldn't put an SVT 3pro through my 2 ampeg 8 ohm 1x15 cabs??
2. Still after any trades, no longer after a head, but particularly looking for other cabs that can handle higher amount of watts, any 6x10 or 8x10 could be ideal... But will listen to anything you have to offer! Get in touch!
3. Cheers for the PM mate, I wouldn't dream of mentioning it on here after you chose to delete it, just found it an informative read. Best of luck mate
4. I read the original, just wondering why it's now deleted?

6. So yeah, I'm selling my lovely Ampeg BA300 115 combo, fully flightcased and in brilliant condition. This is being sold as I have decided to completely change my rig, and have put in an order for a nice Barefaced Compact from Alex. I bought this only about maybe 7 months ago from Soundcontrol in Manchester, and got it flightcased just after xmas. Amp cost me £600, but are around £640ish in the shops at the moment, and the flightcase from Castle Cases cost me £192. I know people always say mint condition, but this pretty much is, I have included a pic of the one very slight scuff to the tolex, but its more a case of you can feel it if you touch it, than actually see it... you will see what I mean. I'm in no massive rush to sell this, but just putting it out there now. I know things aren't shifting much on here, but this won't be getting regular price drops and all that, but sensible offers will be considered I'm asking £600 ono, so it's like buying the amp brand new and getting the flight case free! 7.
Before I get your hopes up, I can't afford it. But why have I never been aware of how much I want one of these before? Would look even cooler with a maple board. What's the sound like? Free bump.
Fully agree with the maple board, I would love one of these in White, black pickguard and maple mmm... Good luck with the sale Col, hope things start to pick up mate
8. Never used them so can't comment, but other places I have had good service from - I used castle cases for the flightcase for my ampeg BA300 115, and couldn't sing their praises highly enough, great fast friendly service, and what I think to be decent prices. I got my GB03 pedal board from The flightcase company, who were also pretty good.
9. I've now had an offer from a mate of an Ampeg SVT-3pro in my price range, so its now between that, or the Orange TB! I don't know what to do.....
10.
Depends whether you play in a doom-thrash-metal band or a string quartet. Tell us what you'll use it for, and then we stand a chance.
Link to a free album in my signature for the eagle eyed amongst you
11. So I have been using a Orange Terror Bass lately, kind of on loan. I like it, but just wondered other peoples opinions on what Amp head out there is best for a £500 budget? I do like the OTB a lot, but just wanted to hear some other opinions, and what options were out there before I fork out the money Cheers folks!
12. Well as a hint, I won't be wearing the disguise I have in my avatar
13. Really love it man, and your influences section mentions quite a few of my fave bands Let me know when I can get hold of the EP! Would like to hear the rest.
14. Opened this thread expecting it to be about Rob Williams Guitars (who has made a custom guitar for my mate that is the nicest guitar I have touched, and also the heaviest, as he requested... Weightiest piece of bubinga he could find!) Will have a look round this Williams site...
15.
My policy is stash enough big cabs about that you won't need to move one far. Maybe we should organise a cab community project between bass players.
I actually think thats a really good idea!

20.
Nice tune, Wooks! Really like it... I was humming this after listening to it last night PS: your old OC-2 pedal is doing me proud; thanks again for that mate.
Thanks very much for that, just wait till it gets the full band treatment Glad to hear the OC-2 is treating you well, I barely used it at the time, but now I miss it, lol.
21. Just recorded a quick video of a new song, just an acoustic version at this point, the whole band version sounds so much different (has a slightly Massive Attack vibe with the rest of the band) Thought I would post it here for people to see - Still have our debut album available for free at the moment at www.dresdenmusic.com so give it a listen, if you hate it, at least it didn't cost you anything!
