Used Radial Bassbone in good condition. I have had this since 2008 and it has performed faultlessly. It has the usual Radial build quality and comes complete with original transformer and box. The unit has a few scuffs on the paint lower down (as in the pic below) at the front and a couple of chips on the top panel. The box is a little tatty, otherwise it is ready to go. I am in Banstead, Surrey, SM7 2DP.

FS: Eden WT 300 head and 210XLT cab WITHDRAWN
PhilAllGaps1 replied to Brother Jones's topic in Amps and Cabs For Sale
Hi Brother Jones, I am very interested in the cab and possibly the amp although it may be a little underpowered for some of my Gigs. I do have a WT-600 which is 600 watts into 8 ohms bridged.... I'm very busy tomorrow, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Kingston isn't far though so I will keep you posted as I am serious about the 2x10.... Thanks, Phil. -

For sale an Overwater/Tanglewood Aspiration Elite 5 string Bass. It has a flame maple top, ash body and rosewood fingerboard and was £800 full retail when new. It is in great condition as I bought it for a month Tour of Australia which I have completed. It has quality hardware and the John East/Overwater circuit specially designed for this range of basses. The bass requires a fret stone and set up and will come with a new set of .038"-.128" Overwater stainless strings. The neck extends up to the neck pickup and it 'sits up' about a millimetre. There is a picture below to show this and it does not affect the playability or sound in any way. I will take an offer on £375 and am in Banstead, Surrey SM7 2DP.[attachment=141027:DSC03269.jpg][attachment=141028:DSC03266.jpg][attachment=141029:DSC03270.jpg][attachment=141030:DSC03272.jpg]

Hi All, I have used a lot of different headphones in 30 years as a working pro, some say 'professional' on them, steer clear of these! Beyer DT150s are great as they have an enhanced low and high end compared to DT100s but are for monitoring not mixing. I carry DT150s for tracking session as most cans I find (usually DT100s) on sessions can't handle the amount of bass I want to hear. A lot of Theatre Shows spec Sony 7506s and I bought a pair home to evaluate them. They don't take much stick on the bass end to make them pop and they have a sucked out mid. I used these in a Show for monitoring as they were provided but I cannot recommend them for mixing. Grado cans are a good hifi choice but unlike Sennheisers and Beyers you can't get any spares. They are nice to listen to but make everything sound 'pretty' and are not built for 'Pro' use. Audio Technica cans come up time and time again but as with all these thing you need to be able to listen to each pair with some music you are familiar with. They are good value though and well engineered. I have an old 600 ohm pair of AKG K240 DFs. They take a lot of driving but are very 'open' sounding and very revealing for placement of sound, reverb/fx amounts but are bass light. A new pair of these with a more suitable ohmage would be good although they are fairly open (not well insulated) and any background noise could be distracting. A friend of mine uses and swears by the Focusrite VRM box. Some of the work on these tracks for Mothership; http://www.mothershipofficial.com/Mothership_Official/Music.html were done using a VRM box, although probably not the final mixes.. Summing up you won't find headphones that will tick all the boxes. Get yourself a decent pair and learn by listening to your mixes on lots of different systems. I have some Soundmagic E10 bud type headphones to check/listen to stuff on after mixing via my iPod. They have a relatively decent even response, although no speakers or headphones are 'flat' in response. A couple of good websites to look at are iHeadphones.com or Studiospares. Good luck studio! Phil.

Hi jhk, I want a Traveller but this looks interesting. I have an old WT600 and it sounds great but is in a very heavy shockmount rack. Does it have rack ears fixed or are they removable like the WT? I am in Surrey near the top of the M23 so not too far away. I will have a think, the fan thing might bother me as I record quite a bit... Thanks, Phil. -

Hi jhk, Just to confirm that the Eden speakers are made by Eminence now. They make a lot of speakers for many manufacturers under a thing called OEM, which stands for 'original equipment manufacturer'. A bit of a mouthful hence the acronym! They manufacture the stuff to Eden's spec and then they are badged Eden. This is no secret check this out here;http://www.eden-electronics.com/info/why/whytext.htm Loads of items worldwide are made OEM for computers, cars, all sorts of stuff. I hope this is a help. Phil.

Hi jhk, The best place to start is getting a re-cone peice. Wembley Loudspeakers are the chaps and Paul McCallum has been in the business about 40 years so he has seen everything. He re-coned an Eden badged 15" speaker for me 18 months ago. It was a PAS and he encouraged me to get it re-coned rather than buy a new Eminence or similar. I remember he said 'they don't make them like this any more....'. It is a heavy driver but sounds fantastic. Give Paul a call on 0208-743-4567 or email [email protected], I'm sure he will be able to help. BTW I have tried plenty of 'Neo' speakers over the past few years, sadly they don't sound quite the same as a conventional magnet, lighter in weight, but also in sound..... All the best, Phil.
