1. Not so far as I know man. There is a five string version which might be US but the 4 is def' chinese. The Marcus 5 is made in the States and the 4 in Japan so could be a possibility. Hope you're well man. D
2. Hey Jimmy. Apologies for my slack response. Am having some computer issues. I appreciate your reply man and although I would love a Precision and especially a '78 (birth year and all that) I am in need of monies. If you get chance though check out a VB acoustic. Not like any normal acoustic bass. Utterly playable like a well set up electric but somewhat lacking in volume and depth when compared with the larger bodied stuff like Takamine, Tacoma and even Ibanez. Thats why I bought it though. Regards. Darryll
3. Slow round these parts eh? I can see why though there are oodles of great basses for sale right now aren't there?
4. Hey Ped. Hope you're well dude. It is a lovely bass. Only had it for 8 months too. As I say, sorry to have to release it into the wild.
5. Need to clear some debt and sadly two of my fave basses are in the firing line. Firstly : Marcus Miller 5 String Jazz All specs at this URL Marcus 5 string This particular one is the gorgeous vintage white model. Comes with Fender hardcase and all relevant bits and bobs. I paid £1500 looking for £1300. Victor Bailey 4 string Acoustic Bass All specs at this URL Victor Bailey Acou This plays like a dream. Jazz profile neck, ultra low action (though if you preferred a quick truss rod tweak will raise it) and lovely tone. Comes with supplied Fender Gig bag. Looking for £550 ono. I live in Manchester and will post out so long as buyer pays postage but would much prefer someone to come look these over before hand. Both in stunning condition and both hard to find in regular stores. Please feel free to PM me if you wish to know more or see photos. Thanks for looking. Darryll.
6. Okie Dokie so not had a great response thus far. I am looking for £450 per head, though offers in that region will be considered. I know cosmetics aren't great but these are serious amps worthy of a good few years service. Please feel free to ask any questions and I will be happy to assist. A whole bunch of folks on here know me and can vouch (I hope ) that I'm not some jerk off. Thanks for looking regardless. D
7. Hiya Dood. Yeah it has been a while. Got no decent excuse either. When do i get to hear some of this music you and the lads have been making? Hope you're well.
8. Previously these amps were used for hire purposes so have been gigged and therefore bear some cosmetic damage. Also I used them as back up amps when on tour. I have just recently had them fully serviced by a great tech over Stockport way so they are in full working order and well cleaned. With my tube-path being my favoured amp they are surplus to my requirements right now and to be perfectly honest we just need to get some cash in band coffers to help us get our new album finished. • 1000 W @ 4 ohms • Voicing section with controls for Bottom, Contour, Growl and Attack • Additional switchable 3-band EQ with parametric mids • 2-way Boost switch • Adjustable Compressor • Parallel FX loop • DI out with Pre/Post and ground lift switches, Tuner out, Line out • Footswitch connector for Boost and EQ • Weight: 19 kg Open to reasonable offers and collection is preferred but if the buyer wishes to pay carriage costs then I'll see what can be done. These are heavy amps though! Just drop me a PM. Many thanks, Darryll.
9. Soundcontrol on Regent Road, Salford is now PMT (nought to do with souncontrol at all). We have some Warwicks in stock so maybe worth a look for you. Other shops also mentioned are worth a butchers.
10. I wanted a green one!! Nicely J see you soon man.
11. Really that is beautiful. I'm not usually bowled over by P' basses but you've done good on this one. Enjoy!
12. Yeah I'm down. Thats the main thing I use the forum for anyway.
13.
I know a few Warwick endorsee's and most of them are definitely not "mega stars"
Yes I am (Slow down with your typing fingers. That was indeed a joke!!)
14. I owned and gigged one for 3 or so years and absolutely loved it. In that time it never went wrong on a gig up until the point where the valve went. After a quick service and re-valve it was back on form. By this point though I had a new rig so it went somewhere in exchange for cash. Mine was a pre-fender model if that makes any difference (speculative I'm sure). Bottom line is. Wish I still had it!! The overdrive is nice. Probably comparable with any decent valve based drive pedal (to be fair though it has been a while since I heard one). It never was quite filthy enough for me but then my favourite drive sound comes from my M80+ which I used with the 750x and also with my present rig. The suboctave though I thought was great. Tracked really tight and much more satisfying than the ashdown circuit. So yeah I re-iterate. Wish I still had it.
15. Nice work Si. Band is sounding sweet. Love the end section especially. We have to hook up again sometime this year. Been ages. Just one thing................Haircut = Sellout
16. Hey Jake. Sounds great man. Some familiar faces in that group too. Gotta love Mike Walker!! I remember one evening Richard giving me a lift back from BOTW and playing me some Donald Fagen (which album it was escapes me) and it was another of those eye opening experiences! Take it easy squire. Darryll
17. Sweet that Chris. Real sweet. Good luck with finding a new singer. Love your influences too. Take it easy. D
18. Not sure whether I've put this up before so apologies. Its me big, bastard loud Tubepath 10.1 and two ND411 cabs. I split it down for smaller shows and when space is at a premium but love playing with the full rig. Its a great sounding amp with which I've been very happy but alas my head has been turned by another!! I'll save further details until I know if its possible. Anyway for now this is what I use and its wicked!
19.
thanks! glad you like them. BTW are the last 2 songs working for you?
Didn't the other day no.
20. Sweet work on Tocatto in D minor bro. Lovely sound too.
21. Not strictly my cup of tea man but pretty exciting sounding music for sure. All the best with it.
22. Cheers Mike. Things are certainly going well for us right now but I predict nothing and expect less Avoids any disapointment. Just getting stuck into writing the 2nd album and things are sounding pretty good (IMO ha ha ha) '07 was such a rollercoaster ride and I am expecting nothing less of '08. Take care man and nice to make your acquaintance again. Its been quite a while.
23.
Dazza, how's it going for you mate? I hear things are hotting up for Profane. Can't be long before I have to beg for guestlist for your shows. Remember those of us who came and froze our balls off in Jabez Clegg etc. for you!
Not too bad mate. Things are going good that much is true. Here's hoping for the guestlist thing No worries with putting you on. Take it easy squier.
