So i have to have the laptop setup usb to tue cy and my bass plugged in through the board and i can justxtest patches without downloading them to the pedal?

Or phone via the cable that goes into input two works too.

agree about the volume levels - set a compressor to limiter mode after it!

Is it possible to do "live demos" of online community patches withiut having to first burn them to pedal?

I feel like there is and i even read about it but decided to focus on basic functionality first.

    Am i imagining that?

yes - you just click on them and can trial them.

You can long press the footswitch to change banks so you could put one sound in one bank, the other in the other bank at the same toggle position.

not working for me. do you have to enable it?

I've never used a switcher with it, but that's because I've only ever had 2 sounds I needed for one band. Leaning down to flick the switch looks a bit dumb I guess but its only two songs.

See what I really want is a rotary knob that lets me choose any of the 140 odd presets... the footswitchs are ok but having to remember what each patch is from number quickly gets tiring

    Funny you mention that.

Ive just today made the decision that i dont need to use the dmc in a live setting so will be moving my 6 favourites into the onboard slots and only worry about the switcher for jams.

With the board i have, it is just too awkward sized for my big ass feet.

Also losing it clears the way for my new deep freeze which will see a lot of foot action.

hmmm but one with the plugs on the end would work better...

  6. it's totally fixable, take a few hours to do rough trace .... I don't see any power protection diodes so imagine a power issues... I would start looking at that grey box and what that is and what would happen to it if over powered/reverse powered

Touché! I’m waiting on a couple of mystery Star Wars pedals I ordered way back (the last update was late December saying they’d be in their way soon), then the Star Wars board should see the light of day! It’s still missing functionality like a compressor and a delay but I’m hoping it won’t be bad for a themed board. If anyone has any more Star Wars pedals I’d love to know! Thanks to @lee650 for getting me started and those who’ve helped!

I now want to build a pedal called bad motivator unit

Yay! SA are sending me one of these soon with some other exciting new stuff!

@thisisswanbon do you fancy amending your thread title to accurately reflect the name of the pedal so that it will be able to be found more easily using the search function?

    Ooooo

im also excited about the neuro update you are probably testing but can’t say anything about!

I was hoping to have a loop on each channel ( as each channel is effectively a pre amp) but I've no idea what's involved. I could just use the XLR outputs that carry the speaker sim signal, but I'm not sure this is ideal as this is a DI.

No idea about the PCB at all, and no idea re passive or buffered.

sorry that's no help at all...

you would need to trace the circuit back - work out where the preamp ends and the cab sim begins and then cut the trace there and send it to switched jacks ....

Apologies for another "Could I add X to Y" post.

I've just picked up an Orange Bass Butler. The signal is split into 2 cannels, both have a DI output with speaker sim.  Would it be possible to add an effects loop to each channel before the speaker simulation. Its a fairly large unit so space wise if could be possible.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

    cheers

It depends theoretically- how difficult it would be would depend on the pcb - are you thinking passive loop (potential impedance issues) or buffered loop?

you might find it easier to have a separate effects loops pedal with a speaker Sun circuit after the return

You are clearly very close. My daughter works at Rind next to the cheese shop

In Farsley so between Leeds and Bradford. I have a friend who goes there when he wants cheese.

    He likes cheese a lot
