Withdrawn. Zon Sonus 4 string fretless Bass, Ash body, composite neck, JJ bartolini pick ups and active circuit. Up for sale is a truly astounding bass made by Joe Zon. It is very light-weight, coming in at 7 lbs, 13 ounces (3.53 kilos) The body is centre-seam two-piece solid ash, ergonomic and comfortable as can be, with an exaggerated belly-cut and forearm bevel. It has two Bartolini J-bass pickups and a Bartolini active 2-band EQ on a stacked, center-detent pot, in addition to a master volume and master centre-detent pickup blend control. This bass is in really nice condition, with a couple very minor nicks on the headstock and the end of the fingerboard with a virtually unmarked body. The phenowood fingerboard has some tiny almost invisible scratching from playing, it is so hard that whichever strings are used there are no issues. Currently strung with some rather nice Optima gold round wounds (50 to 105), included will be the plush tgi soft case or a hiscox hard case if preferred. The Zon Sonus model from this period have carbon-fibre composite necks. This is what Zon says about their composite necks: “The object of using composites for our necks is to integrate the stability and performance of these materials in a manner that enhances the tonal characteristics, reliability, and consistency of our basses, without losing the warmth and personality. “Our basses’ necks are fabricated in our Redwood City, California, facility. The base material is carbon fibre, developed for the aerospace industry. Carbon fibre is rayon extruded under extreme heat and pressure, a process that changes its molecular structure on a subatomic level. Contoured after some of the classic shapes we’ve come to know and love, the profile of our necks feels very natural to the hand and all of them are extremely comfortable and easy to play. The action is fast and smooth, making them suitable for any playing technique. Graphite string nuts are installed for the string-to-string evenness of tone and durability they offer.” The scale length is 34", there are no neck or electronics issues at all. Sold. Reduced price to £40 and postage included. Cougar guitar company bass neck 21 frets as per the jazz style and dimensions with a nice slim neck. Truss rod adjustment works fine, tuners included, some wear marks here and there but in general very good condition. UK insured postage now included in price. On closer inspection found 2 to 3 small splits at the top end of the neck, willing to accept near offers.

Sold. Reduced to £125. Shine 6 string bass for sale, in very good condition, some minor scratches and finish a little worn. This was formerly owned by my best friend, guitarist/bassist, who was encouraging me to play basses with more than 4 strings. I think before it became mine he replaced the active circuit (controls all work though I think he changed which knobs do what) and removed the shine logo. I recently replaced the control knobs as they were a mixed set. Weight is not bad for a 6er: 10 pounds 8 ounces (4.75 kilos). Plays nicely, currently tuned beadgc, no case or gig bag. Collection preferred or can meet up within a 20 mile radius of Daventry.

Sold. The MXR Bass Auto Q is an auto-wah / envelope filter based on the sound of the Cry Baby pedal, this one designed specifically for bass guitar. The Bass Auto Q features adjustable sensitivity and blendable LFO signal. In good condition and excellent working order, a few little bits of paint come off (mainly around the base plate). As can be seen on the photos the battery clip has lost one of its plastic lugs (I believe this is a common problem with this range of pedal). I have effected a successful fix using sugtu & velcro. Battery shown only for demonstration purposes. All it's original knobs present and correct. Price includes UK insured postage.

I can confirm this is a very nice bass head with a powerful, high quality sound. I would be tempted myself if I had some suitable cabs to go with it.
