1. Just Bought Neils' Superior bass works strings / pickup and blender. Very happy with it, Neil is a top bloke! It arrived excellently packaged - it was with me within a day! Cheers Tom
2. Now Gone! No name machineheads that were on a brand new neck I recently ordered - I am going for all black hardware so these are not needed. Look identical to these http://www.ebay.co.u...=item2ec5108da3 Same diameters and all that. Free to anyone who wants them Just got to cover postage Cheers Tom

4. Nice cabs! I am very happy with my Gk 2x12 at the moment so not looking for any other cabs. Thanks anyway
5. I have owned a carlo giordano bass for about 5 years now, I busk with it and gig it and it has held up well. I couldnt tell you about the thomann ones because I havent tried one. The giordano sounds alright acoustic, nothing special but it does the job (I usually have a pick up so it dosent matter much to me). I have the piano black one with white edges, the paint job is a bit rough and the bass has so much clear coat on it (even on the back of the neck) It would need to be set up and get a decent set of strings - mine was pretty much unplayable when I got it. Thomann do a set up before shipping the basses out (dont know how good of a set up) but for that reason I would look at those basses if you are looking for a cheapish rockabilly bass.
6. Where are you based? and is it collection only or will you ship? (might help with the sale) Wish I had the money for this right now! Good luck with the sale
7. Some info about the amp : http://www.fender.co...ts/tb-1200-head : http://www.gak.co.uk...1200-head/57115 This amp produces really nice vintage bassman tones but also has an overdrive chanel that can be blended with the clean. Also the amp has some really good options for live use like the Vari-Q control and the room balance. It also handles a 2ohm load so you have plenty of options when it comes to cabs. The amp comes with a gator 2u rackcase, The fender footswtich (controls overdrive,fx loop, vari-q, also built in tuner) and the instruction manual. I would like £400 for this. No trades please I would prefer collection from Brighton so you can try it out make sure it's the right amp for you, but I will ship it at buyers expense with the shipping company of your choice. Thanks Tom
8. How are you finding the amp now you have had it for a while? Really interested in this, I am stuck between this (If i can get it at a good price like you did) or the Orange bass terror. This seems like it has more range in the EQ. Can this amp get a bit gritty if you crank up the gain? if so how does it sound. Can't find any videos of this amp anywhere.
9. I used to use the 450H and 410 hlf in a 5 piece hardcore punk band against 2 guitarists with 5150's - Volume was never an issue. Had to push the amp a little bit, but there was pleanty of headroom left. It sounds really nice through the 410hlf cab , one of the best cabs I have owned. But I would agree with the above - you need a 4ohm cab, so the hlf would be perfect.
10. Has the pick up arrived yet? was thinking of ordering one - but not if it takes this long to arrive!
11. Thats a really good price! Might have to get a second one, make a 4x12 stack.
12. My Fender TB 1200 and My GK MBE 212 8ohm with my Squire PJ bass
13. I think that would be a really good combination with that head. I own the MBE 212 and as i understand from the posts on here the MBE are just stripped down versions of the Neo range without bracing and made elsewhere. I used to used to own the SVT 450 H (which is basically your amp) and it paired really well with the 212 cab. I dont see any reason why the 410 wouldnt go well with your B2re. if you Buy it from somewhere like Thomann then you get the 30 day money back guarantee, so you could always send it back if you didnt like it.
14. I play hardcore punk most of the time and most things along that genre but also play a bit of ska and then pyschobilly with my double bass. All of it sounds really good through the fender head, and al lthe extra's on it like the vari q and room balance are really helpfull sometimes. Only downside is it's quiet heavy, well worth it for the sound it produces though. Im sure the combo would sound amazing with that Messa cab under it! Anywhere near you where you can try the amp out?
15. I own the TB 1200 and its an excellent amp, Classic fender tonestack with a really nice overdrive chanel. and cuts through the mix really well set flat. Cant recomend it enough. I expect the combo will sound really nice too, especially if it uses the same speakers the PRO range enclosures use, as they aound really nice too. Are you only intrested in the combo version? if not there is a TB 600 in the FS section http://basschat.co.uk/topic/135763-fender-tb-600-pro-mint-l500/page__hl__fender%20tb%20600
16. Are there any settings within the Ipad that you need to change? I have never used an ipad, but i used to own a line 6 toneport KB37 that had the same design and preamps as your interface and that always used to be buggy on my macbook pro. i would always be having to play around with the macs settings just to get the interface to work with it. Maybe see if there is some new firmware on the line6 site, that helped me out before i decided to sell the interface on. None of this is probably any help, hopefully some one else can help sort the problem somehow.
17. Those new fender amps and cabs look really nice, would love to try the 300 watt and the 610 cab. They will probably be really hard to find like the TB pro range they have - no one stocked them and the prices never dropped. I hope thats not the case though, really want to try one out!
18. I just got back from Tokyo - if your from the UK you dont need a visa if your there for less than 2 weeks, you just fill out a piece of paper with the info of where you stay and the purpose of your visit. they give that to you on the plane. So i guess you could try that, but like its been said earlier it could be a bit difficult trying to blag it if you have equipment with you.
19. This guy might do bass lessons, if not he will definitely know some one around the area that does as he offers double bass lesson on the site too. http://www.guitarrepairsuk.com He is based in Wilton. When i lived nearby i all ways took my basses and double bass to him for work and to be set up, excellent guy cant recommend him enough for that! Tom
20. I played through one of the 410's before when the back line was provided for us. Played an svt 3 through it, too me it sounded ok but nothing special - not too much different from the ashdown mag 410 i used to have.
21. Been looking to try out these Rotosound double bass strings for ages! Keith got in contact, had 2 sets i could choose from and for a really good price. Posted them real quickly too, even let me off the postage! Thanks again
