1. I played it a few years ago! Top notch bass! And that redwood! Wow!
2. Hi guys, Do you know if they intend to do a production model? I’m really a huge fan of the bass itself and I love the sounds Nathan gets from it.
3. Houuuuu... that’s nice indeed!
4. I’ve played it at the music messe and it was a killer bass! Bump!
5. Awesome bass sold by a very nice chap !
6. Killer bass, and superb bass player !
7. I've got the same head. I've bought it through Musicstore at 55 Euros, and it's actually quite good. My basses & cab are of a quite formidable quality, so I'm not sure how it behaves with mid-range instruments. However, I found it to be a really nice sounding amp, especially thanks to all the EQ possibilities you can have with it. My only concerns are that: - it priviledges the highs when the volume is turned up, but you can still manage it with the built in EQ, - the sound gets really crappy if you clip the preamp, - It's really heavy and takes a lot of space. However, if you take it out of the wooten shell, it weighs approximately... more or less 9 kgs or so (less than half of it's weight with the wooden box...). Other than that... it's a really good amp, especially for the price I've paid.
8. Try to explore the Ishibashi shops, especially the big one in Shibuya. I had the time of my life there !
9.
Ouch! I wish I had a friend like that. Quite splendid!
Oh yes it is !
10. Yes, that's what I think as well, mate ! Everything covered, and ready for all situations. A P-sounding bass could be a good thing, but I can actually get a pretty good P sound if I play on the neck pickup of my Leduc and my Hollowbody Modulus. As for your question regarding the fretless... Actually, I've nearly always played on sixers... I've been playing for... nearly 12 years now, and I've played sixers since my 2nd year of bass playing. That's why I chose a 6 as a fretless bass. However, the only 34' inch scale basses I have are the Warwick and the fretless. The Leduc is 34.5", and the 2 Modulus are in 35". That's why it's a bit of a hassle to play the fretless these days... I'm thinking of having it fretted and have the "Dominique Di Piazza" bridge installed on it, but I don't want to alter it's MAGNIFICENT fingerboard. Here's a close-up of the fingerboard, btw (old pic, but still accurate) :
11.
That's a mighty fine looking collection there... What's the red one?
Thanks mate ! Here, I'll decribe all of them ! From left to right:

Dolganoff Ignis 6 fretless (THE ultimate fretless, made by a friend of mine);
Leduc Master Piece MP624 (My big nasty active Jazz bass);
Warwick Rockbass Alien Deluxe (great sounding acoustic);
Modulus Quantum Turbo 6 (aka the ultimate stingray bass);
Modulus Quantum Hollowbody 6 (my ultimate modern bass).
12. I have had the chance to trade my logabass 6 string with punkjazz's Leduc MP624. Marc is a great guy, and the trade went really nicely. He made himself available, and even made sure to be in Belgium for the trade. Thanks for the nice discussion afterwards, mate ! Take care !
13. [Img]https://scontent-bru2-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xpa1/v/t1.0-9/12002116_10153649862613464_8150386712046860033_n.jpg?oh=0994976db718caee571d9071bbf7ef95&oe=5662FED9" class="ipsImage" /> Here comes my gear!
14. Dammit. I need a change of pants now. Seriously, this is a killer. GLWTS.
15. After thinking about it, I realized that some other luthiers can make good fodera-looking basses... And I should know about it :lollarge:
16. Yeah there's a Guy on YouTube who does Manring covers with his jcr...
17. I completely agree with BigRedX. I'm crazy about Fodera. I've tried a few. One was crap (sh*t happens), but all the others made my basses feel like they were toys (and I own 2 modulus quantums, owned a JPBass and tried tons of high end basses). It was shocking for me, every single time. You may consider that it might have been altered by a psycho-acoustic syndrome, however... It's what I felt deep inside. The best bass I've ever played was Dominique Di Piazza's old Fodera (buckeye top). That bass was a dream. Nothing less. But... Even after trying tons of instruments... I haven't tested a single instrument that sounded exactly like Fodera. And when I say I've tried tons of instruments, I mean it... From industrial production models, small and worldwide known luthiers... It's just... Not the same thing. The only instrument that I owned and that remotely sounded like a fodera was from a Korean brand. Edit: However, there's a few guys who work well and are really inspired by Fodera. JCR is one of them. Haven't checked the price, though... There was also an eastern european luthier who used to build fodera-like basses. I don't remember his name...
18. Here's mine! Made by a friend of mine...
19. I'd go for number 1 if not possible to have the 2 of them on the band. If both agree to being part of the band, it might actually make an incredible duo. But you have to make sure that each singer gets her good solo parts.
20. That's weird. Their french speaking team told me that were actually revising their product list and adding the high C to their stainless steel sets. Here in french, and after that, a translation:
En effet, nous n'avons actuellement pas encore de corde en 032 en Stainless Steel. Toutefois, notre gamme est en train d'évoluer afin d'avoir les mêmes tirants en Nickel et en Stainless Steel. Sachez que nous faisons remonter votre demande auprès de notre service développement aux Etats-Unis.
Translation: "Indeed, we don't have Stainless steel strings in 032 yet. However, our product range is changing so that we have the same gages in Nickel and Stainless Steel. We have passed your request along to the product development team located in the U.S.A. " Either their french teams lied (damn French liars ! - Note: I am French, so...), or they do not have a consistent answer, which would mean that their internal processes and strategies are a bit unclear.
21. I've contacted them for their stainless steel series... I told them that I was sad that they didn't come in 6 string (at least I was sad that they didn't have a high C in stainless steel), and they told me that they were in the middle of making their products "even", and that it should be available in the future. I'd like that for their acoustic strings as well, but I'm not sure they will, as they don't even have a low B in acoustic strings for bass... I'm very very happy about their strings, and I love them.
