1. Boxing Day belated BUMP
2. bump - will accept £300 incl. !!!!
3. .. a 'still available' reminder Bump
4. Hmmm.... I'd almost forgotten about this one: looks like he's bothered to complete/sell those which reached a decent (?) price and simply ignored those which didn't. Surprised re. the Precision though - as this was won by another local (Teesside) ebayer, who might have been able to follow-up more thoroughly. Can't see him lasting long with this type of behaviour, although he's probably not bothered.
5. .. would make a great Xmas stocking-filler (.. damn, too late!..) ... OR Chinese new year Gift.
6. Still accepting offers (PM) - nobody requiring a small, handy, light & accurate tuner (or two) ??
7. Bump for Xmas bonuses...
8.
I was seriously interested in this, but it was 'on hold' at the time.......
Yeh, that's what I was afraid might have happened (no thanks to BC member who siad he'd have it and pay on 19th) - but thanks for the best wishes and good to hear you managed to find something suitable.
9.
where are you man? and would you be interested in trades?
Based in NE (Teeside - bit of a way from you!) - sorry, I'll add this to my basic profile/post (.. thought it was there!). Not really looking for trade/s, but if you mention (post or PM) then you never know (!).
10. No longer ON-HOLD as the promised payment (Friday) has not materialised + no reply to PM's since (!!!!) Frustrating, as it's been on-hold for a week when potentially interested & genuine BC'ers might have bought. £295 + (so approx. £320 with Courier).
11. Just added a few specs. re. scale, nut, string spacing.
12. BUMP 4 final reduction.....
13. reduced to 3-figures !! £999 (incl.)
14. Thanks Ady! .. thank goodness somebody has a decent memory: there you go John, if Oct. 07 sounds about right then you would have bought it from Ady/ebay. +1 on Ady's comments on the lightness/0-dead spots (in addition to what's been said before). Remains an excellent & uncommon bass .. at a very good price.
15. Sadowsky details added, price reduced BUMP
16.
... am I going completely senile, did I buy this off you Dave or did you have it prior to my receiving it. I'm certain that I got it off eBay!
No more than me, I'm sure .. (LOL) .. 'cos I can't recall either ! I do recall talking with you about the bass but don't think you bought it from me - maybe somebody within the chain-of-purchase/owners will recall more clearly.
17.
Obviously I've had it BUT I don't 'think' that eubassix has even though Josh said that he did!
I DID have one of these ages ago - same specs/colour (you can get various options including 2x magnetic p/up in addition to the piezo / and various colour options - although IMHO this is the best). If there's some slight marking/wear below the rear 'hook' (extension for strap/balance) then it's possibly mine (well, formerly mine). There is (was) also a superb Bolin fitted hardcase (traditional, tolex type but with interior fitted for this bass specifically) with 'Bolin' logo. Superb instrument!.. can only agree with what's been stated thus far (except that I do like the headstock concept) - I really enjoyed playing it but didn't really find a 'working' use for it.
18. Thanks W'b - and Bumping for the w/end.
19. w/end BUMP / bargain price
20.
Beautifully simple looking jazz..this must have been a recent purchase from BD, whats the tone like Eubassix??
Thanks /agree re. the aestheics of the bass. Not from BD (.. only just discovered that they're stocking them!!... and, as usual, they're at the wrong end of the country!). Tone is good: very clear, modern J sounding. Not as much fundamental bottom-end as an older Fender-J, but possibly best slap/J I've tried: the passive tone is OK but have tended to use with the active (stacked) B&T all the time - tone boost is huge in both parameters. The passive tone also operates in the active mode, so you can further tweak the sound. Plays really easy - nice action, quick neck.
21. Windmill Jazz Bass - Jay Tee Model. Light ash body with Flamed maple top finished in a very nice Matt (satin) Tobacco-Burst. Upgraded to Lindy Fralin split jazz pickups plus Sadowsky preamp/with VTC (vol, pan, passive Tone with push/pull switch, which is also active with 2EQ - stacked Bass and treble). Maple neck and separate board - very light/pale, with a tastefully finished headstock front. Schaller 3 + 1 tuners with D-Tuner (E-string). Overall, this is a reasonable weight (9&1/4lbs) and comfortable modern Jazz with great build quality and sound, with the added benefits of the upgrade pickups, pre and EQ. On a par with the likes of Sadowsky, Overwater, GB, Sei Jazz's. A few spec's: 34" scale, 1.5"-Nut, String spacing is 10mm(nut)-17mm(f22)-20mm(bridge), Schaller tuners (with drop-D/E). Check www.Windmill-guitars.com and for the Jay Tee model and other basses, with soundclips. This bass does appear (photo & proposed specs. - which were originally passive) on the 'StockList' page: pickups & electronics were not then fitted. Base price was €2290. The bass currently lists @ €2800 with std. Windmill pickups and passive VVT setup. The upgrades to Lindy Fralins and Sadowsky Active/Passve with 2EQ and VTC would take it closer to €3k (rrp, of course). Windmill basses are now stocked at Bass Direct (UK) http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_sp...tars_Stock.html With the Jazz models:- http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_sp...Bass_JBass.html from £1200+ (Basic J4) to £2000+ for the Signature models. The JT bass appears to be no longer available and the 'Windmill' signature headstock logo to have been replaced with a simple 'W'. This 3+1 headstock also appears to be unique. Comes with a gig-bag £....... sold
