1. Ok I have been bass less for so long its a joke. Sold my GB spit fire to get a Wal but then had a change of heart was going to try and get her back but then..... lost my job down to a not so nice boss! but hey what can you do. And had to spend then money supporting myself till i got a new job. With all that now done am on the hunt for a new bass. So as it stands I have the option to get a hand made Wal copy, with an acg pre amp and/ or wal clones from SGD or dual coils from Nordstrand. And i really like this option but at £1000 for just the bass and then i have to buy all hardware its pricy and plus no resale value at all if that was the case. But i have been looking at warmouth these days and jebus has there quality gone up and i have always been a sucker for a 1975 reissue! So what do people think jazz or not to jazz? is there any one out there with experience with warmouth jazz basses and if so if you are near brighton could i have a bash? Or should i go for the custom build? I know i want to go with the whole filter pre amp thinginy majig. Any thoughts would be Awesome.

 6. Ok need some help, for some time I have been searching for the Wal sound without getting the a Wal, due to money reasons of course. So I have been set for a while on getting some Wal clones from SGD and a ACG filter preamp which i believe will give me that tone. And then I saw the Dual coils by Nordstrand and now its caused loads of Gas problems what to go for? So what do people think? Any one think the dual coils with a ACG will work well? Or maybe just go for the Wal clones? I need help people.

 13. Ok here we go again. up for sale is my fafner and 4x10 classic cab. This amp and cab Rocks! but is way to big for me and is not the sound am after. All in very good condition and has only been gigged once ( thats what happens when you have a 4x10 and cant drive ha ha) Am looking for 1000 for both but you could try and haggle who knows. Reason for selling A. could do with the cash as always and B. got a custom build on the way. Laters

 16.
Im feeling a bit confused and was wondering if somebody would explain to me why this cable would command such a high price?
Somin to do with somin and somin effecting somin and if you use that cable somin is better than somin it used to be. Any way i think its more do do with guitar players really, i live with a few and my god the "debates" over cables goes on and on and on. And beside if you have an active instruments it make no real difference, thats the reality of it and of people who have done the maths and science and have actually tested them. really its the same thing as why should you buy a fodera over any other skilled maker. Normally there is about £3000 reasons not to and in this case about £30 quid whirlwind all the way ha ha
 17. Nice! More pics please good luck with the sale though, will be keeping an eye on this.
 18.
Sounds like a delay with the feedback turned right up, maybe with some kind of looper in there. Edit: There's a recent thread with a diagram of his board here. DD-3 - with a hold function. Mind you, there's also a Bass Whammy on there, which also does squeely type noises, so maybe he's triggering both. Definately delay in there though, because there's a weird pulsing going on as well.
Justin only has one delay though, and the timing is very fast. Mic feed back sounds sound but a risky move live dont you think? I do remember reading in an article once that he turns on effects to see the ambient noise.
 19. Ok am getting in to effects in a big way and am starting to build a pedal board. But my question, if you listen to this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8mpBYtUJoxE at 2.33 is. Justin does some crazy effect. How do you create these sounds? its some thing i have never looked into really. Any idea?
 20.
I notice that 3 and a half years later that guy on Talkbass still hasn't reverse-engineered the Wal pickup yet: http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f38/won-wal-...up-ebay-432803/
although they will be ready in about a months time and the Wal preamp to follow a little later. And the pick ups will cost $150 each and so will the preamp, so a wal copy electronics for around $450, looks like the tool youtube players are saved And me of course
