  1. Thanks gentlemen. My band have booked ourselves a trip to Oslo at the end of October and want to find an easy going venue/pub/bar where we can entertain the locals. We'd also need to rent kit so would need a bit of local insight. It's a pattern we've followed for many years now, taking in Finland, Sweden, Germany, Poland to name a few... PM if you feel you can point me in the right direction/help.. All the best Mark
  2. As the title suggests.... If you live in and around the city...or have good knowledge of it...could you drop me a line. Thanks Mark
  3. Thanks Pete. Minty condition as described. Tea was provided as promised too. Great job Mark
  4. I've an early 90s Korean. Fantastic neck...love that bass.

  6. Really good venue. Great gig, decent crowd, nice manager. Any Edinburgh bands should make contact and get booked in.
  7. Saturday at 9pm @ The Grosvenor, Shandwick Place, Edinburgh. Come and say 'hello' and tell me I overplay! We're based in Cheltenham....rather a long way for a pub gig!!!!!!
  8. I have recorded with this bass. The bass DI'd into the desk without a problem. It was flat EQ. Thank you for all the additional info about this bass from a variety of people. I won't profess to being a Goodfellow expert, just know it is a fantastic bass.
  9. Having sold our passive PA system, the band is humming and harring about an active system to buy...in essence 4 boxes!!! Gigs usually up to 200 people, needs to be bi-amp system, compact and sound great. It's mainly for vocals, keys and reinforcement of the rest of us. We have about £3500 burning a whole the band kitty.... Options seem to be: FBT ProMaxX, RCF 7 series, QSC K series, or Turbosound Milans. Any input/experience/ideas/definite choices really appreciated... Thanks Mark
  10. Great ideas gents. Of the suggestions, The Blind Poet seems the best suited...so any more like that would be great. Thanks Mark
  11. Hello My band The Bridge are in Edinburgh on Saturday 26th October, and are looking for a pub that could host us for the night....to play in rather than to merely drink to excess. We're a covers band with loads of experience in the UK and Europe...but we're on holiday for the weekend and want to sort out a fun gig for that night! I've tried a cheeky email to Nobels in Leith, Malones & Finnegans Wake in the city, but have drawn a glorious silence. Can anybody suggest a pub around the city that takes bands on the odd occasion that I might approach. Any ideas/suggestions would be welcome! Thanks Mark
  12. Is there any postage option?
