    Up for sale my top of the line, hand crafted in Japan, Yamaha Bb2025x - as used by Nathan East, Leland Sklar, Amos Heller, Tony Kanal and Michael Anthony. Managed to get one in NOS a few months ago. Pretty difficult to find one of these days and still in mint condition. One of the most amazing basses I've played but have not played it often outside of the studio, where I tend to favour Jazz basses, so cutting a bit my collection. Hand crafted in Japan. A.R.E. and I.R.A. treated wood gives it a very broken in, and responsive feel.     Selling my Atelier Z Jerry Barnes M265. Top of the line, hand made in Japan, 70s style bass from Atelier. Bought new a few weeks ago and in literally "as new" condition. Fantastic instrument and craftsmanship, but selling as I'm much more of a 60s pickup position / alder body guy. Easily nails the 70s super jazz, Marcus Miller type of tone. It has an upgraded electronics package (including a passive tone knob), adding additional versatility. 70s type of sound but without the huge weight! (pretty light for an ash 5 string). Currently setup with quite low action with no buzz at all. Jerry Barnes (Chic's bass player) signature model.     Moving on my trustworthy Eden WT550. Bought new around 10 years ago. Comes with a rack case. Has been used and case has signs of use but amp is in perfect working order.     Ken Smith Elite 20th Anniversary Flamed Redwood Top 6 string (1 of 11 made) Best Ken Smith out of the 10 or so I've owned for a very rare (very few have ever come out for sale) bass. Not looking for trades - selling as bringing down my collection and mainly play jazz style basses these days. Lots of feedback in the forum Specs: Flamed Redwood Top with Matching Headstock. Body Core and Heel Blocks are made of Tiger Maple. The Laminate between the Redwood and the Tiger Maple is Black Walnut, and the Body Features are Tropical Walnut. The Neck is made of Hard Rock Maple with African Bubinga features and heel laminate. The Fingerboard is Macassar Ebony and has Mother of Pearl Top and Side Dots. Pickups and Electronics are the same as the BSR "EG" and includes Series/Parallel Switches. The bass has a 20th Anniversary Backplate and Truss Rod Cover. These were $6,000 when made new in 1999/2000. Bass has cosmetic wear / bumps from the previous owner (I am the second owner and have owned it for the past 15 years), which is reflected in the price, but functionally it works perfectly and the frets are almost as new and plays with an incredibly low action with no buzz. 34" scale. 18mm string spacing 4.6kg / 10.1lb Ken Smith in his quest for the best tone woods found only a limited amount of this rare, old, seasoned, air dried, Figured Redwood. Because of the limited amount, only 11 of the KSA 6 flamed redwood basses were made.

    One of the few instruments I regret selling. Big difference from standard USA models. Better playability and better wood selection meaning a more responsive instrument with a very stable neck. GLWTS

    Agree. It's a "custom" Ying Yang standard 5 without the black paint on top, as all specs are the same - i.e. same as asking a burger without ketchup or mayo. Specs don't match any other "standard" besides the Ying Yang Standard 5. GLWS

    They don't offer/have never offered Brazilian rosewood as an option, having dealt directly with JY and Andi, they would confirm that. They did the odd "normal" rosewood one many years ago, but ebony or maple are the only choices for the past few years. Not sure about ebony being richer and smoother than Brazilian rosewood, but this is not the place to discuss that so will stop here. My initial comments were with regards to how good Moollon bass guitars are. GLWTS

    Pre-CBS "style" even if not exactly the same. I have a Pre-CBS all original P bass and I have a Moollon P bass too. It's the closest thing I've played to a pre-CBS one. And I much prefer an "improved" quartersawn neck to an "original" flatsawn one. I do agree on the brazilian rosewood being something special though and wish it had it.

    This is a Laurus bass, hand made in Italy, as used by Ric Fierabracci and Federico Malaman. It is setup with very low action, together with its very fast and asymmetric carved neck, making playability exceptional. It has two tonal chambers, making the instrument lighter and very resonant and responsive. It requires normal strings. The bass is in perfect working condition but it has a few bumps, purely cosmetic, and this is well reflected in the price (the cheapest Laurus bass in the Web by far). Looking for a straight sale only. New price €4,500. Shipping is not a problem. Plenty of feedback.
