Selling my very rare 60s style 5 string jazz bass made by Christian Celinder in Copenhagen. These are becoming more and more difficult to find, with most of his jazz basses being in 70s style (ash/maple) rather than 60s (alder/amazon rosewood) configuration. Got this used a few years ago and it's in excellent condition, having had a recent fret levelling, setup, and strings put on. I had the pick guard removed as I prefer the cleaner look and the body was then professionally 3refinished. I have the original pick guard (off white) and screws which will come with the bass. Looking for a straight sale only. Body: Alder Neck: Maple Fingerboard: Amazon/Brazilian Rosewood Pickups: Celinder (I believe these are made by Kent Armstrong) Here's my feedback thread: https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/185975-feedback-for-arnoldoc/?tab=comments#comment-1793647

Noah offered an MTD 5 for a trade and after a quick get together, we got to an agreement. Nice guy to deal with and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Just did a trade deal with Will (will4bass). Very knowledgeable and great seller. Quick communicator and quick shipping research meant we soon had an agreement. Good packing and documentation meant swap went smoothly with no issues at customs. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Words simply don't do this bass the justice it deserves, but hopefully pictures will help! The tone is crazy, unlike anything I've ever played. Super versatile, juicy as hell and slaps like a mother, but also cuts through a mix in a very tasteful way. The ash neck give it a warmer tone compared to maple neck MTDs. The Birdseye fingerboard needs to be seen. The sassafras top is a piece of art in itself. This was bought new at Bass Direct and just recently got it as part of a trade. Beautiful bass but I'm more of a jazz bass guy myself. Looking for a straight sale. Only exceptions being an alder body Stenback 5 and might consider an alder MTD 535 or a Fender Pino Palladino CS. You can get all the details on it here: http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/MTD_USA_535_Sassafras_BEM.html It's in absolutely mint condition, no dings or anything. You could have supremely low action as it's setup at the moment if that's your thing. You can hear the bass on this track, verse 2 is the most 'raw' bass tone in the track: https://open.spotify.com/track/6DU4dKmXuvzgjgaX7R5bJB?si=BVjO7OZoSS2iSAyTTSw7-g Additional Details: -Body - Swamp Ash -Top - Premium quality Tasmanian Sassafras ( £800 option) -Matching heal - (£50 option) -Matching head - (£50 option) -Satin finish -Custom knobs in matching wood (£150 option) -Neck - Ash with Titanium bars (£150 option) -Fingerboard - Bird’s eye maple, 24 fret (£250 option) -Pickups - Custom MTD Bartolini soapbars -Preamp - Custom MTD Bartolini 3 band -Finish for body and neck is a satin catalyzed urethane. -Weight - 4kg/9lb -MTD Pro Tec case (£160 option) Plenty of feedback on this thread

Moollon J Classic 5 - Olympic White (traded)

Up for sale is my beautiful Moollon Jazz bass. It is in mint condition (I've photographed as best as possible the small nicks in the headstock; as it's a nitro finish like pre-CBS Fenders). Plenty of reviews in BassChat. Many Moollon reviews & videos online, but it's usually described as the best pre-CBS type jazz bass you can get in 5 strings. Jimmy Coppolo does great copies too but his equivalent model with nitro finish (Classic Supreme) will cost at least double. Very difficult to find and YJ currently has a backlog of 12-14 months as he builds everything by himself. No trades unless you have a similar specced Stenback. handmade body & neck, finished in multiple layers of super-thin nitrocellulose lacquer hand-wound VJ-60 pickups which capture the tone of an early 60's jazz bass handmade hardware to pre-CBS specs (higher nickel content). alder body V/V/T passive

Up for sale is my white Nathan East 2 bass. Nathan is my main influence as a bass player and thought I would never sell. However, I've moved into jazz and p basses and it's not getting played much. It has been used and has a few bumps and nicks (more than reflected in the price), which don't affect playability at all. Has had a PLEK done recently and action can be adjusted very low if wanted without any buzz. One of the most comfortable basses I've tried, 18mm string spacing and contoured body back. New list price is £4390 and best new price I've seen is £2900. No trades. Nathan East Signature Model Nathan East has appeared on countless albums and has toured with some of the biggest names in modern music. Whether he's playing blues with Eric Clapton, pop with Phil Collins, or contemporary jazz with Fourplay, Nathan relies on his BBNE2 signature 5-string bass to deliver the tone he needs. BBNE2 Pickups The stack type pickups are designed in collaboration with Nathan East. The Alnico V Humbucker pickups include a hum-canceling coil Individual Bridge Pieces The bridge consists of individual bridge pieces that reduce interference from other string vibration delivering a purer tone. Controls 1 : Pickup Balancer 2 : Master Volume 3 : Bass 4 : Middle 5 : Treble 6 : Mid Cut Frequency 7 : Mid Cut On-Off Switch Active Electronics Active electronics include a special equalizer circuit based on Nathan East's “Magic Box". The circuit lets you cut off the selected mid frequency at the touch of a switch for precision sound tailoring. 5-Piece Neck Through design The neck through design uses a 5-piece maple and mahogany neck sandwiched between the maple on alder body. Contoured Body Both the front and back of the bass body are contoured to provide players with a compact, well fitting instrument that offers greater playing comfort Construction Neck Through Scale Length 34" (863.6mm) Radius 19 11/16" (500mm) Frets 24 Pickups Alnico V Stack Type x 2 Pickup Switch N/A Controls Master Volume, Pickup Balancer, 3-Band EQ, Mid Cut Frequency, Mid Cut On-Off Switch Fingerboard Ebony Body Maple/Alder Neck Maple/Premium Grade Mahogany 5 Piece Bridge Yamaha BPZ-7

Up for sale my Fano JM4 bass with original Gig Bag in Dakota Red light distressed finishing. Humbucker tone but with jazz bass type ergonomics. Bought new less than a month ago. Really nice bass but I play primarily jazz basses and doing a bit of a summer clean. Lots of positive feedback selling and buying from this site. Overview: USA JM4 Using the ever-popular JM6 as a springboard, we designed the JM4 Bass to look and feel as though it’s been part of the Fano line from its inception. The JM4’s classic styling incorporates a 34” scale length, 10” radius fretboard and an early-60’s C Shape neck that feels comfortable and familiar in your hands. We have also raised the bar in playability and tone with the addition of our proprietary “FanoBird” bass pickups and “HiMax” bridge that offers both top-load and string-through body options. Each JM4 is hand-built, one at a time from start to finish by one builder in Scottsdale, AZ. Features: Body: Alder Neck: Maple (Bolt-on with body color matching upper headcap, 10 degree headstock pitch, vintage style truss rod Neck Shape: Early 60's C Shape .800 - .970 Fingerboard: Indian Rosewood with rolled edges Fingerboard Radius: 10" Frets: 21 Inlay: Aged White Moto (top/side) Scale Length: 34" String Nut: 1.5" Tusq XL Hardware: Nickel Tuners: "Fano" Bass 4-in-line Bridge: Fano HD Bass Pickups: Fano TB Bridge & Neck Controls: Volume, Volume, Tone Finish: Nitrocellulose Lacquer Case & Accessories: "Fano" Custom Gig Bag, Polish Cloth, and Wrench This is a video review of the bass
