My recommendation would be to go back & view the 1st series of theTV version of 'Mash' & see what 'Henry' is wearing........... G.
Oh I love MASH. I read the books before the film or the telly series and then watched eeruy one I think. A good fly fishing hat complete with flies Cool but ... The brim's not quite wide enough on those to do the stage lights thing (I've tried) Kangol seem to have a hat for every occasion but some are a bit "old bloke" and I don't need to emphasise that How about this?
-
I usually wear a black trilby (with lights on ) in my main band as we wear black outfits. The brim is great for keeping the stage lights out f my eyes and off my glasses However, I dep quite often with a band that wears summery clothes, Hawaiian shirts, etc. Naturally I join in with the loud clothing but, of course, my black hats don't match very well. So I still want to wear a hat to keep the stage lights off my glasses but one that fits in .. any suggestions?
Final price drop to £425 before I give up, I'll leave it at this price for a week then give it back to the owner if it remains unsold, it's a hell of a price for a compact lightweight 600 watt PA in excellent condition.
Hi Do the speakers have top hats for sticking on poles? Thanks -
Sounds like he doesn't want to tackle the errant guitarist ... - the likely true reason for not getting booked ..

Well there is another option .. http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?s=&sho...st&p=622878 I know where my dosh would be going ...

There's a general air or "it doesn't matter" about some people .. No idea why. I've been waiting for an "audition" date from some one for about 6 weeks. We have finally booked this coming Wednesday. I'd not dream of not showing or going unprepared ...
Hey, and I learned something useful about myself yesterday - just as I'm great at remembering faces but a bit sketchy at names, I'm really good at remembering avatars but not usernames (especially if they're somewhat random). So could all those whose username is unrelated to their name or their avatar to their face, please print out a picture of their avatar and wear it as a facemask at future bashes. Thank you. Alex
Aha! Good tip Alex. We'll do that for ours. With te "two pups the same = midscoop" thing can you talk about P-J configurations and also how to avoid a midscoop? Is there a trick that can be used? Thanks
Heh! Nice one You win on that one, Si!
If you can't trust Herbie ... Oh and I've played that bass .. one of my near fame experiences... It was just for a fleeting 10 mins whist he noodled on mine Not a whole afeternoon like Rich claims though ...
Apart from the fact that they didn't make jazz basses in 1959. The first jazzes came out in 1960.
Not quite: Herbie says "I bought the bass on Oct. 12, 1959, from Manny's in New York. If you remove the neck you can see Leo Fender's signature and because it's a prototype it has various bits that are not standard. For example, underneath the pickguard they installed what was tantamount to a fuzzbox but it was very primitive - a couple of resistors that cut the signal in half and fouled it up. It had a switch on it and when you tried to cut the roughness out it wouldn't cut out properly, so I took it out."
Why do I keep going back to the red Precision? If there's anyone still in this thread Some people expressed an interest in the white 62 RI. An incoming sunburst version of the same thing (which is what I really wanted all along ) means that both japanese Precisions are now up for grabs: - Fender Japan 62 Re-issue Vintage White/Tort/Rosewood, non-export CIJ £350 - Fender Japan 1980's '57 Re-Issue CAR/White/Maple non-export MIJ £350 Small pic on the first post Here I'll do a for sale thread as soon as I've go the sunburst and made sure it's the right bass for me but this is a heads up and invitation to PM for pictures. Send me an email address and I'll link you to the webshots galleries for each. Thanks OG
