Nearly Dan
Nearly Dan play The Lift Off Festival, Anderton Boat Lift, Lift Lane, Northwich, Cheshire on Saturday August 6. Outdoor event. Starts around 7.30pm.
Is my pal Annie Tinsley going to be on sax for that gig?
4. Mojobass has contacted me and has assured me he's catching up on this now after having a lot of stuff to deal with this week, so all should hopefully end well.
5. Paul - since Wednesday, I've sent three or four PMs about the P bass body and not heard from you at all. Are my messages not getting through to your inbox for some weird reason?
6. I'm not after the amp - just wanted to say that Alfie Noakes is the best forum username ever. "Up north, you know, we have a different point of view..."
7.
Possibly interested has it got rack ears?
No ears I'm afraid - comes exactly as pictured.
8. Bump for price drop - knocked twenty quid off, now looking for £110 shipped. Can post or email pics to show condition on request, it's like new.
9. My Jazz with lined Status neck.
10. Hmmmm - just having a serious think about what I need to keep and what is actually duplicated or surplus to requirements. This one isn't going up for sale just yet, but in the next week or two it might become available. I'll keep y'all posted in the Marketplace.
11.
Mint cover with Markbass Yellow piping. Made by Roqsolid is padded and as new. Fits TRV102P. £25 Shipped.
I've got the same covers for my CMD102P and Traveller 151P - they're great quality, really well made. Have a bump for a nice cover.
12. These came out of my bass back in 2004 when I replaced them with EMGs. Black covers, excellent nick, standard J sizes (neck shorter than bridge). Looking for £30 posted.
13. Good guy, prompt payer, no messing around. Recommended.

16.
I was thinking of changing pick-ups on my Geddy Jazz. I have EMG's on my Warwick and thought about them. Having never changed pick-ups before not sure where to start. The EMG's are active so i guess they come with an active circuit board and control knobs. What pick up model number as there seems to be a raft of options to choose from. Does it come as a kit. ? Would appreciate any advice. Cheers Dave
No circuit board. My EMG J set came with pickups and a wired up harness with the pots and jack socket. I had to solder the pickup cables to the pots, but now I think they come with "quick connect" cables. You just need to mount the pots, connect the pickups and controls up, clip in a battery and you're done (no ground to bridge needed). http://www.emgpickups.com/products/index/60/25/2 Go for these if you like the EMG "active" sound, but not if you want a more traditional passive Jazz tone. These are different beasts to conventional Jazz pickups.
17. I totally agree! Green is a much under-used colour option.
18.
Anyone passing J7 M6 ? I have a car but it makes sense if someone is passing to cut down on fuel cost .
I'd be going that way - on M6 at J10, then down to M42 and M40. Could pick up near J7 no problem.
19. Thanks man! Glad you like the basses and the band.
20. Basschatter Stag saw this bass in another thread and PM’d me to ask if I would say a bit more about it. So… I bought a new MIM Jazz in 2004 with the intention of tarting it up a bit. It was a nice player when I got it but I wanted a more modern vibe, so it got the active EMGs (J set) and a Badass II pretty much straight away, along with a change from W/B/W to B/W/B pickguard. A couple of years later I picked up a Geddy Lee Jazz and loved the neck but wasn’t over enthusiastic about the rest of the bass. So, the necks got swapped and I sold the Geddy with the MIM neck (rosewood board) on here: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=103758 I call what I have left my “reverse Geddy” and it’s a corker – very fast and snappy player, perfect for slap stuff, with a modern tone, loads of clarity and very full range responsiveness (that’ll be the EMGs, then). Here it is again in all its glory:
21. Well, I wasn't sure about the stand but I thought the Moody strap might sell. PRICE DROP FOR THE STRAP - NOW £60 POSTED.
22. I'll post some pics of the actual guitar later today if I get a minute - but it's identical to this stock pic in every way. Anyone fancy this?
23. I've found a rather nice body for this to go on, so I'm going to keep it.
