Basschatter Stag saw this bass in another thread and PM’d me to ask if I would say a bit more about it. So…
I bought a new MIM Jazz in 2004 with the intention of tarting it up a bit. It was a nice player when I got it but I wanted a more modern vibe, so it got the active EMGs (J set) and a Badass II pretty much straight away, along with a change from W/B/W to B/W/B pickguard. A couple of years later I picked up a Geddy Lee Jazz and loved the neck but wasn’t over enthusiastic about the rest of the bass. So, the necks got swapped and I sold the Geddy with the MIM neck (rosewood board) on here:

I call what I have left my “reverse Geddy” and it’s a corker – very fast and snappy player, perfect for slap stuff, with a modern tone, loads of clarity and very full range responsiveness (that’ll be the EMGs, then). Here it is again in all its glory:
