BTW I've got a book called "simplified sight reading for bass". Its really helped me so far.

Its the dotted notes that throw me off. Practice is the way forward I suppose. Annoying though

I've been thinking of getting a new bass but then I had this idea. Instead of buying a new bass with 24 frets is it possible to get a new neck made and swap it with the neck I have now (21 frets)? It would save me a lot of money
